What is the best way to side tap a PGP? I would imagine cartridge valves are better for this. Do I need to solder in a fitting or can I tap the valve meat for 1/8 npt? Any help is appreciated.

Does your application require a sidetap? Maybe a dummy 12 gram is a better solution. -
Ive done it on non-cartridge valve and solder a fitting, its easy and reliable.
Threading onto the cartridge valve might work, but the threads are gonna be a pain when you need to rebuild the thing ...

Thanks for the repsonses. I'm asking to keep my options open for future builds, specifically a double barrel pump pgp. I made a replacement front plug for the component valves thats threaded for 1/8 npt for my current project. I would think hpa sent through a dummy 12 gram would have difficulty getting up to velocity due to the small ports and low valve volume but I don't have the experience to know for sure.

I do hpa direct into my pgp/phantom build and the only changes inside are there is a pps dyna? Valve stem. That’s it
it hits 280 easy.Comment

for side tapping xemon nailed it, and for application I lean towards Jordan's recommendation. I know a dummy 12vie can power a double pgp using co2, no experience with hpa1 PhotoComment
