What would it take to make a p68 AT freak bored. I’m assuming you would have to take off top tube cut and bore then reassemble. If anyone has done this what would be the cost of this and could it even be done.

There used to be a page on the old site called “how walz gets freaky”. One of the many gems lost to time. And as Jordan mentioned, too thin to bore.
you have to buy a piece of brass tubing with an inner diameter I don’t recall. The jist is it’s just big enough to fit the old tubes inside.
The feed tubes fit inserts really well, so you separate the feed tube, and the barrel tube from the body.
Mark the barrel at the distance of the bolt face, cut.
mark the distance of an insert on the feed tube, cut
figure out the desired length of your new barrel tube, cut
sand and insert the freak sleeve and barrel back, transferring necessary slots and holes to barrel
Reassemble and solder
inserts are changed from the front, so you make a removable hollow plug to hold and change out your inserts. I’ve seen some that are held on by a screw at the end of side-saddle feed tubes, pretty slick
Good luck, hope these ramblings help

I reposted it here.
This thread deserves a place on the resurrected forum. """""No patent pending here on freak barrel system - anyone who wants can make one up. No lathe involved to do this. Simply remove barrel from body, cut breach section to 3 7/8 ( for stock bolt) (its 3 3/4", some aftermarkert bolts are a bit
It's not hard to pull off if you already know how to solder. A little harder if you don't.
