    KP rocking safety

Picked up a Bluestreak trigger group for a P series to K Series conversion, couldn't find a rocking trigger saftey lever, so made one from brass. went with drill bit indent's filled with red enamel paint for Fire and Black for Safe. Pics for inspiration if perhaps someone else is needing to make their own.

Cal440 I have a P12 i picked up to convert into a K Series lever action with a brass spring feed. But now that you mention it that PMII would be sweet in a wood stock too.

Some shots of where I'm at with my P12 to K series conversion, Used a piece of 8/4 Cherry. got it bedded, and roughly shaped. Added couple inches of drop to buttstock for better sighting. Ideally would like to go lever action with this. alot of carving to go now. trusty Shinto Rasp works great.

That cherry will look great, even better when you lever it!

Where I’m at with the Build, got a lever rough shaped, working on an internal spring to add tension to the lever pull.

My Initial 2 piece, welded lever broke while adjusting, so I used it for a pattern for a second one piece lever. Second lever I hardened in A DIY forge, then tempered/blued it in the oven.

Feed tube in picture is mocked up with zip ties, as I figure out how I want to angle the Slider for the Spring feed. Going to add a cocker detent for double feeds, and wedgits for roll outs, or current plan atleast.

                  Her current state:

Soldered the feed tube on today, fashioned a butt plate, as well added a brass bumper between the lever and grip.

Put thin low friction UMHW inside the upper lever guide/ trim, and shimmed the Lever so it has no side to side play, and added a heavy spring to keep the lever closed. Very pleased with how the feel of the lever turned out. I shimmed it so there is no side to side play at all, I only have a drill, dremmel/ files and wood working tools so for me getting that fit right without a mill was a concern, but very happy so far.

I need to Get a Palmers or Docs quick 12g changer one of these days, and now im thinking dual Cocker detents...

Looks great, nice work. I really like the umhw use in the upper guide. Is the lever pivot mounted in the wood itself or some kind of mounting block? Could you show a picture of the bottom of the stock? Look forward to a shooting update .

Cal440 The Lever Sits in 3/8'' thick brass plate, set into the stock, pivots on a 3/16 pin has a washer on both sides, and i used a piece of a Mechanics feeler gauge to shim it for no wiggle.
Its not a Light Marker haha...

Cocker detent added, made a version of a thad adapter, and a spring feed holds 18 balls with one in the tube, found a 10-32 rod bearing end and shortened/ bent the cocking rod.
