    Pgp single blooper for fsr

Currently in the process of my first pgp build, plan on dremeling out the window to a D shape for fsr’s, and putting a cocker slider on it, still waiting on chplnstone to get back to me on a plate adapter. Also have a Pmi kp3 delrin bolt en route to shorten and modify to work, turning it into centerfire bolt and not damage fins as they sit over the hole with the stock bolt. Will also be foregoing the pump handle and attaching a brass knob directly to the back of the bolt. Made my own ghetto valve tool but it works 🤷‍♂️

first step was removing the feed tube. Then I polished up the body to 4K, dry no wet sanding as I hate the mess.
as parts arrive I’ll update the build

Had a late night idea and threw some 44/40 cream on it.

Just my 2 cents, the best options for centerfire is going to be either a general joe's style bolt or moving the breach forward, I can't visualize how a delrin kp3 bolt can be modded to work... I have a spare skull that can be used as a bolt pull I can throw in if you like

Do you know what the effect of 44/40 would be on the zinc/aluminum alloy the standard Sheridan grip frames are made of? I've been looking for a finish option that isn't painting or plating.

Would not give the desired effect, aluminum oxidation is not like other metals, even the sweat from your hands given enough time can make it crumble. Given the metal mix that the frame is made of I’d say your best bet would be no bake cerakote.

Most of the parts have come in, today I got the bolt cut and chamfered, nova roller sear in the frame with a meteor spring kit. I need to find longer frame screws now, anyone happen to know the pitch? Also looks like I won’t have too much shaping to the feed window thankfully.

        8-32 for the screws.

if you intend on using that bolt setup I think you'll need to put the feedport in a different spot.

Thank you, thought they were but wasn’t able to check my hardware bins today. Yes the feed port is just going to get opened up in a D shape about 3/8 of an inch forward to accommodate the fsr’s, the last pic shows how close it is when fully cocked. I do have a general joe bolt en route, so I might use that instead of the other project I had planned for it, we’ll see!
      Working...
