    Rat Impulse leaking

Hey all, guy who doesn't shoot electros here.

I bought this on a whim because it has a 90 frame (and I LOVE a good 90 frame), and almost certainly overpaid for it, but that's fine.
What's less fine, is the fact that it seems to have a very slight leak right out of the box unfortunately

From what I can tell, it's leaking from the back of the gun, just above the gripframe. It sounds loudest with my ear against the rear frame screw.
Using a tank outputting 800psi, and the gauge above the hpr seems to read just a hair above 200 if that makes any difference.

ZDSPB is pointing at it being the solenoid in some way, but I thought I might as well run it by the MCB hivemind to make sure

Pics of the culprit as tax:

WAS board and a 90 frame.... Nice..... Yea if it's leaking from that area sounds like the noid. I am no Imp expert but 200 psi seems like the top of the pressure range to me... have you tried turning it down just a bit and seeing if the leak stops?

I haven't touched anything at this point, because I wasn't quite sure if I should adjust the HPR or the LPR and didn't want to make things worse lmao

I' am super limited in my Imp knowledge but I would turn the HPR down 10 or 15psi and see if the leak stops and what your velocity is at..... Also that LPR setup looks like maybe one of those Evil punch kits? I have never used one but I hear they can be finicky

So I stumbled upon this video in my youtube recommendations.

Two tightened screws later, the leak seems to have subsided!
Or at least has become so faint that I can't notice it in my loud ass house anymore, which is just as good (probably)!

I'm gonna end up getting a spare 'noid and gasket because I'm sure this will happen again, but for now IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!

Glad you found it man! I've had that happen to me a few times, Impulses, Defiants, and Bushmasters all use the same Parker/Skinner noid, K4H01, and they are incredibly robust. I doubt you'll really need the spare.
        Working...
