    SFT bolt issue

I’m messing with a new to me shocker. It has a sprung NDZ bolt with the NDZ adjustable guide. When it’s aired up the bolt does not retract. I held the bolt back when I aired it up and it stayed back without a leak. I haven’t tried shooting it yet because the ASA developed a leak as I figured that out. Any ideas why the bolt isn’t retracting on its own?

Great markers but they deffinatly had their quirks, they were plagued with bolt stick and could shoot hot if they sat to long without being fired

It’s been years since I’ve had one. This is my first sprung one. The sprung bolt should eliminate FSDO.

It sounds like your input pressure could be too low. I would try either shooting it (dry or with paint) and see if your velocity is super low or try airing it up without the spring installed and see if the bolt retracts then.

If upping your input pressure doesn't help, I'd put fresh rings on the bolt kit and then try pulling the detent and the bolt spring. There's a chance one of those three are holding it up. It could also be that the solenoid cap is on upside down, but I've never had to deal with that myself.

I replaced every ring on the firing assembly, it retracts and fires without issue now.
