As promised, I started my Mech Ion

I have a good relationship with the owners and main gun tech at my local field. One day, I come walking in and said gun tech brings me a box of gear and said if I can build him a Mech Ion, I can build mine and keep all the rest of the parts. Can't say no.

All my parts were sourced from Clippard. But I found that one of my stock hoses are too short to start modeling up the SMAV3 mount.

My next major post for this should be a shooting vid. I'm pretty stoked!

So I ordered a SMAV 3 mount from SSC plus I started designing my own. Since I'm building 2, why not? Got the first iteration down and is being held in place by the grip covers screws. With both holding tight (enough) it is cycling great! This is allowing me to make small design changes based on IRL fitment. I think I'm going to keep the screws idea alive and add more to design so it stays in place as friction fit from there.

Went to the field today to deliver the Silver Ion to ther field tech. Got them chrono'd and did a shooting vid with Mkeeks. Forgot my GoPro so I didn't get any of the games I ran with ol Blue. Along with her shooting it, she also ran a couple of games with it with another local player. (For feedback/sCiEnCe!)

I need to cut some oring grooves to make the stock bolts dual tail, but that's for another day. Other than that, I think the project is pretty much done!
