"New" Sterling parts questions

This isn't really Sterling specific, but it's happening to my Sterling in particular - 12gram bucket changer leak. So I know I can flip or replace the white seal in there, but what's the best way to get it out?

And is there a special tool to remove the whole piercing assembly? It got way dirtier in there than I thought possible and want to deep clean it (and the rest of the marker).

This is the link to the SC STP the US exchange rate is pretty good right now too. The open class ones are cheaper. All they got left are Blue and Black currently. Takes about a week to get. Shipping is a bit pricy. But the exchange rate makes up for it.

I hold the pump handle on all of my pumps so I can’t help you on the return spring. Maybe try something between the body and pump handle.

Im not surprised the fitting leaks. Mine had a loose hardline fitting and way to much lube when I got it. I haven’t tried my vert asa but I’ll keep that in mind if I do.

So, what's everyone using as a return spring? Holding the pump handle forward is gonna get old.


In other news, the screw on the vasa, the one that holds the gas-thru port welded to the hardline, NEEDS loctite or teflon tape or any sealant, because it screws directly into the port. Found that out tonight.

I might try that with a spare neck I have laying around. Not sure any of them are clamping but no harm in making some test necks.

All you need to do is get a generic clamping feed neck doesn't matter what threads as long as it's got a long enough neck to go down inside and grind a little divot in the side of it where the neck is so that it lines up with the screw ... I did that on my last one and it worked great

Australia is the only way to get them in the US

If you try to order direct Sterling will tell you to kick rocks
as soon as you inquire about shipping to the US. Or just outright stop responding to emails.

Think only gloss Blue and Black left in the SC STP. Shipping is a lot but exchange rate makes up for it. Doesn’t take to long to get about a week or so. Tracking is meh but I have always got my orders from them.
