Just picked up my first sterling. Been wanting to mess around with one of these for quite some time but never pulled the trigger. From what I’ve learned so far it’s an early model with its own sterling threaded barrel. Someone cut the tip of the barrel off and then cut an AA barrel tip and put them together with a spyder feedneck so I’ll definitely be on the lookout for a different barrel. Pump stroke is very nice but it’s not currently holding air so it will need rebuilt. Was thinking I wanted to mill the rail off but now I think I want to leave it as is since it’s in very good condition.

I love the older ones with the Sterling threads. Raptor barrels are close enough to fit, too.
The F stamp on the side suggests it was in Germany or thereabouts, if memory serves.
See if you can run an Allen wrench down the pump guide to adjust velocity. If not, a vertical or bottomline reg is a common upgrade.
It's gonna be a blast once you get it going!Feedback

I tried my raptor extreme barrel but the portion behind the threads was too thick to fit inside the body. It did look like the same threads tho.Feedback: https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/b...ova-s-feedback

I had to chuck up some raptor barrels in the lathe and take a bit off to get them to work.
how you did depends on what you paid but it looks nice enough. I'd make some mods and use it.Comment

I got it for 100 as part of a pump mag package plus shipping from Canada so i got it for roughly 150.Feedback: https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/b...ova-s-feedback

Just confirmed an old WGP cup seal fits a Sterling valve.
Valve o-rings will be -016 for the body, maybe an -013 or -111 for the threads? Something 7/16" ID. The -016 won't be the reason it leaks but might as well change them.Feedback
