    Custom Pro Carbine Piece

I love my Pro Carbines! I have a fleet of them. I’m making a custom piece for them and thought I would share.

Some of my Pro Carbines. I use them to host woodsball events in Iowa.

One thing all my guns are missing is a sling! Players always set them down or lean them against stuff in between matches. Also it’s kind of tough to carry the cooler of beer into the woods while holding a paintball gun.

Over the years as my collection has grown, only two of them have ever came with the factory sling. I have my fair share of 68 Carbines, and one of the best parts of the Pro Carbine is the sling capability. It also gives it more of that AR rifle feel, which I feel has helped make it the GOAT of woodsball guns.

In the great span of serial numbers I have came across, I have noticed lots of things. One of them is the sling clip/ring changes over the years.

In the beginning it was more circle which was the better design. Moving on, it got wider and broader, which caused the rear one to run into the air hose.

Almost every Pro Carbine had this rear ring running into the air hose flaw. So I decided to make a better design out of Stainless Steal!

Started with 1/8 steel rod and made a bending jig I put in the vice.

Little measuring, little time, drilling and tapping.

By offsetting the opening, these custom pieces don’t make contact with the air hose!

Got about a third of them re-slinged last night!
