    Flatline question?

I’m way late to the game with this but to all the flatline users out there, does the flatline play well with the response trigger and the e-grip? Is it prone to more barrel breaks?

I had a flatline on my A5 with a response trigger. I don’t recall it breaking any more balls than the factory barrel. Take that with a grain of salt, I sold my A5 back in ‘09, so paint quality may have been slightly different

Yeah the flatline gets barrel breaks with brittle shelled paint. You'd want to use the stuff that's thicker shelled. Rof really shouldn't cause an issue unless you are going really high. Thats more of a feeding issue but the cyclone seems to work fine at todays lower rof caps. Of course a rotor and hopper adapter will keep up at high speed even with the tippmann having no eyes.

I’ve been playing at a Co2 field in Minooka IL which works out great because I’m primarily a piranha guy. I have all the fun space guns but it cost me a fortune in paint when I use them. Tippmann’s are so reasonable right now I thought I’d give them a chance. Thanks for the advice

Back in my glory days (05-08) I would bring 50 to 70 guys twice a year. They are pricey if you get on the trigger too much. Customer service is the best! Owner is a great guy. He would let us grill out there. We even fed the other private groups lol.

I picked up a longbow kit for cheap. Looks fun and a modified pro-carbine set up to shoot stock class. I’m honestly kinda excited to shoot the old school stuff. I got an ICD thunder cat as well in a trade that I hope I can figure out how to set up correctly

Running a 98c with RT and the old longer flatline barrel. I have gotten up to 15 balls / sec when tunning velocity and have not broken much paint. Just keep the trigger calm when doing chrono, it can go too fast. This is a woodsball marker never put "fragile paint" in it just local rec ball the fields supply.

If you are not getting breaks at the bps you want to shoot at with a normal barrel you should be fine.
If you happen to crack a ball, from the cyclone or bolt strike, you will definitely see it more out of a flatline barrel.
You can lower the velocity a little which should help.

Graffiti shot just fine out of my buddies A5 using a flatline barrel.
