    A5 not recocking after fire

This had been working fine, but had gotten fairly sopped up in mud, so I tore it down to clean thoroughly. When I put it back together it will fire, but not recock, it's essentially bolt action. Anyone have any ideas on what I did wrong?

Look at the hammer o-ring or if that’s okay pull apart the valve.

Is there something I could have put together wrong that would also cause this?

Can you take a picture of the internals? Be the easiest way to spot what’s wrong. Make sure you have the pin that goes in the end cap/drive spring. It would cause your issue as well.

I’ve seen where someone swapped the hammer spring and the super light one that returns the cocking knob

I've seen this before also. Cocking feels the same because you're still compressing the same two springs.

Thank you both, when I get a chance, I'll try to swap them and see if that's what happened.

Ha! That makes perfect sense. I was like “how in the heck did they not catch this?”
