    Installing upgrades to cyclone feed

Ok I picked this up for my Phenom. I haven’t had a cyclone apart in a long time but I don’t remember there bei being three parts to the star feed. I have a thin one, a half thin one with two tall parts, and one really think part. Whats the deal there? Is one optional? Thanks

The two larger portions are interchangeable. The dual stack one caused me nothing but problems. If there isn't enough weight on the paint then the balls will get stuck and not drop to the bottom. The other worked well enough.

Squishy paddles have been debated about their effectiveness since they came out. Some say the help with brittle paint others that they bend and fling paint into the breach harder.

You buy these from Techt? Or some random eBay seller? I'll have to look at mine, but I think my kit only came with 2 squishy paddles. Never caused any problems for me. Fixed my snapped plastic Tippmann parts.

Got ‘em on eBay. I think it techt though. Goinvv go to order the quick vent tube tonight and just put it all together at the same time.

Well went to play today and it was a blender. Unplayable. Got home and examined the cyclone and it appears the green flex paddles isn’t fully cycling. Paint was all up in the feeder. So tomorrow the stock paddle go back in and we’ll see if that fixes the problem.

Are you sure the piston arm and gear are installed properly? The paddles don't move independently.

I had a knock off ratchet that was made wrong, and the paddles would advance to the wrong spot and blend. These look to legit parts, so would hope not an issue.

Take the cycle off the marker for testing. You can advance it manually, so out a layer of balls in and advance the ratch to see what happens. Should help trouble shoot.

I remember the green paddles having a flat spot to match the rod that goes onto the ratchet, make sure those paddles are in the right spot as well.

Talked to techt. They advised this isn’t their parts. So I went ahead and ordered their stainless steel ratchet and lightening rod. Also asking for a refund from the eBay selling since it doesn’t work.

When I did mine. i had to slightly bend the wore that catches the ratchet and then not screw the bottom plate on real tight. If I did, it wouldn't cycle and get stuck.

it helps a lot having the clear bottom to see what's happening using the plunger to cycle it by hand.
