98 Resurrection

So, I have been sorting through the arsenal for all of the markers that I have accumulated, that I do not want or need. I have kept markers to fill out the future museum. The rest must find new life elsewhere. I have been servicing and repairing all sorts of STBBs and miscellaneous other markers to prep for new homes. Then there are the 98s. I have serviced and sold a bunch already. Additionally, I have slowed down modifying 98's to mag fed set ups. So, this last bunch of 12 98's was, and impulse buy as well as a challenge. I decided to see if I could resurrect these markers from total poo to functional field ready markers. I resurrected 2 so far. The pics show the starting point, and the end result. I may have added to many sprinkles to the finished product.
This leads to the possibility of doing a POP contest.

I have a similarly beat up 98 sitting on my shop floor. Maybe it’s time it gets sparklized as well!

It's amazing how much satisfaction you get, when you realize that you transformed something, from being garbage, back to fully functioning. It's not necessarily a money maker, but it is satisfying.
