    SL 68 II ?

Are there aftermarket barrels for them? Or what's the route to go? A brief Google search turned up nada, bacci has stock barrels for them. Is my best bet getting a cocker barrel machined down? Thanks y'all! Forgive my ignorance.

There was a bunch but 25 years ago.

Smart parts, j&j, and Tippmann made a few versions

The issue is paint size with the old barrels. without a freak insert or something similar its going to be roll out city. Deadly wind is the only one currently making a SL adapter for their Fibur X Barrel that takes freak inserts. I have two of these now. - they come with an extended cocking rod for the SL. look here

Out of the box they work fine. if your a tinkerer you can make them work even better. I didn't like the slop in the pump from the carbon fiber barrel being smaller OD than the old ones, so i got a .5mm wall thickness carbon fiber tube that sleeved onto the deadly wind barrel and took the slop out of the pump stroke. I also beveled the inside edge of the aluminum deadly wind adapter so the bolt slips in a little further. for the first time in 15 years the SL's back to shooting darts with modern paint. not the ideal solution but I am thankful for it, because I've always had a soft spot for the SL's

DocsMachine has flirted with making a run of freak bored SL barrels in the past. i know there are challenges with the best approach, but if we keep the conversation going I know they can be resolved. I think a run of those would sell out pronto. nudge nudge wink wink.

I agree with that DrC - there are a LOT of SL's out there and I, for one, am not using mine as a wall-hanger.

Aftermarket barrels are Hella hoarded as sl68s are highly regarded in my circle of people.

There has been enough of a resurgance of them as of recently, it may be worth someone doing a run of sl freak barrels. Prepare to have a barrel worth 3x more than the shooter though.

I've used a5 barrels before. You have to turn some of the threads off, but not much. It essentially just clamps where the threads were.

Message Deadly Wind they will make you a freak barrel out of one of there barrels. I have had a few made over the years. It makes the SL68II a tack driver.
