    Another Old Pro Lite

This one is interesting, and has a Pinned Valve Seat inside the Valve, instead of the Flat Spring / Snap Ring. Everything else looks common to me.

Does anyone have any advice for the Pinned type Valve disassembly? Are those two dowels the same diameter from end to end? I wonder if one end is flared more, to secure them in the holes? I'll find out soon. Thanks in advance

Those pins came out easy! I am shocked. I tapped them both with a small punch, not much resistance. Had to slightly depress the valve seat to overcome the spring to get the second pin out, but wham - they are both out. I think I like this older style Valve better than the Snap Ring type. I'm still cleaning this one up, and I'll post more later

My guess is those pins don't need super tight tolerances, since they'll be captive once the valve is installed

Early mode prolites had that valve, same as the pro ams. Iirc the valve length is different which also means other parts or the train is slightly different as later models as well. Pins are better than snap rings, but the newer valve with the snap ring replaced with a c clip is best. The old valves were replaced with snap ring because after a serious beating like a rental marker gets, the pins and valve get deformed and become difficult to remove and replace.
keep us updated, we heart old tippys.

I won't swear it, but looks dang close to being same dimensions.
Both Tiny Pins that secure the Valve Seat measure in at 1.58 mm Diameter / 18.81 mm Length
Valve Body Length is 38.17mm / Diameter 21.23mm
Good times here. The rust stuck to the plastic always takes a bit of extra work to remove. Next I need to figure out an efficient way to polish the inside of the cylindrical receiver without damaging it. What do you guys think - small polishing tip on a dremel?

Interior Diameter measurements are consistent at around 21.38mm - so I'm looking for some Flex Hone or similar type honing drill attachments, need long version to reach inside. Most of what I see is course grit which I do not want. I may end up using a contraption with buffing tips and polishing compound instead. I don't wanna lap the heck outta this thing ha ha, causing the internals to sling around

What do you guys use to clean tight areas like this with anodized aluminum? It's been soaking in hot water with dish detergent. Cannot get that crap outta there with nylon firearm type brushes, or qtips soaked in alcohol. I'll prob. soak againClick image for larger version Name:	ProLiteBody.jpg Views:	10 Size:	43.4 KB ID:	817360 Click image for larger version Name:	ProLiteBody2.jpg Views:	10 Size:	40.4 KB ID:	817361
