    68 Carbine Valve Reassembly

Can't believe I forgot this - been a while for me. Does the small Brass Valve Seat go in flat side, or the side with the small protruding lip into the Valve? Does that make sense? I think it's lip side in. First thing installed is the -012 O Ring, Then the thin seat.
Am I losing my mind here! I cannot find a specific video or good closeup diagram of the internals. There is one Reddit image but it's laid out so that I cannot figure it out. Any help appreciated Click image for larger version

I think it's the second image - protruding lip end first after first O Ring

I believe this video will answer your question.

Thanks man! I did watch that video - difficult to see the orientation of that valve seat. I think I've got it right, I'll throw her in there and see. Worse case I have to disassemble and correct it.
Side note: I forgot how that valve port connects to the gas line SO I started looking around the garage for another tiny reducer I may have dropped, ha ha. It actually features a reducer that screws into a threaded part of the receiver. Oh man, what a fun journey

ID:	839162 Also: The Reduction O Ring Size - I've got new O Rings for this thing and they are fatter than the original. Original is very thin - Pictured Right, from a new valve / never used. It has a O Ring that looks the same as the thinner old one. Anyway, I don't think I can find an original size but the fatter Ring seems to work fine in my other Carbine.

The valve seat goes top hat down. When you look inside the valve you should see the flat side of the valve seat. Thats what the cup seal on the valve stem seals against.

Yep, like FlightMedic938 said, "top hat" side goes in first with a 012 (I believe that is the correct o-ring size, going from memory here) o-ring.
      I can haz feedback?
If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.
