Obviously the hammer is proprietary but what are the sizes for the bolt, valve and front ASA?

I used tank Orings to rebuild mine and it worked fine. I have used it a lot since with no issues.

The valve o-rings are basically the same as tank o-rings so that's no issue. The Bolt o-rings are a tough one as most of the specs are lost now that VM68.com and the Original VM Empire has died,if you try looking on the Wayback Machine at those two sites you may be able to find the info. As for the Hammer O-ring,if you do the VM Hammer mod I came up with you will no longer need that proprietary one. Modded a VM hammer with a drill press and Dremel to accept a 7/16" ID x 5/8" OD x 3/32 Wall oring.

Basically all I did was take the hammer apart, pop it into the drill ,while the drill is spinning at full speed take a Dremel with a round flat grinding bit on it at full speed and just slowly open up the o-ring slot. I did it by eyeballing it but if you want you can measure to make it exact. You don't have to use the o-ring size I used, you can go bigger or fatter if you want....just make sure you have the size oring you need for the slot you grind out

Thanks Chaos. I plan on having the hammer turned for the oring. It looks like you're using a 111 oring on the hammer and 115 on the ASA. Any issues using buna orings with CO2?

Had no issues when I was using them, but if you can get co2 resistant o-rings it would likely be longer lasting. The advantage to the Buna ones is they are cheap and you can carry a bunch with you in your bag. I even used this mod with one of the VMX bodies that had the misdrilled body issue and it worked flawlessly

Just as an update, I just used a 111 for the bolt o rings and a very stretched 110 for the hammer. Got a VM back to life. It did rapid fire a few times when dry firing but with paint or a barrel swab down the barrel it recocked every timeI use Tapatalk which does NOT display comments.
