Hall of Shame: Gear You Bought But Never Used

In this edition (the first and currently only) of Hall of Shame what is something you bought but never used?

For me, an adjustable air thru t-stock. Bought it a decade ago and have yet to use it. Only ever put on a gun to see if it’s comfortable.

Ditto (but sadly probably even longer)

Oh jeez. There's like a laundry list of guns I've bought but never played with. Do those count?

As far as just gear probably the most expensive or rare I have is an Air America Intimidator loudener. I bought it from Caseagame back when I was in high school, like probably 2005 to put on my Vector for when I went to Castle Conquest. I couldn't get the Vector to work so I bagged that whole plan but have had that loudener kicking around all this time. That Vector too, bought it plus a thruster ready stock and female stabilizer and could never get it to shoot down to field velocity so I sold the whole setup. Turns out I had the remote line hooked up to the gauge side of the stabilizer the whole time so it wasn't even regulating. That's also my dumbest gear move in paintball history.

Guns would only count if you never shot them. Lots of people target shoot or use in backyard for fun.

      Thanks!

The whole story for what it's worth is that I sold a seemingly large collection of non or partially working guns that I had amassed thanks to MCB that year to pay for a couple good working guns because my dad had a business trip on the east coast and said he would take me with him and drop me off at EMR to play Castle Conquest in 2005. I was just a junior in high school so that was a huge thing to do and one of my best memories with my dad. Bought the Vector from caseagame along with the stock and reg from MCB and then bought a CCM Series 5 and had it shipped directly to EMR as a backup to the Vector as I knew it had problems. So I got to EMR and it turned out that Drum couldn't get my Vector to work and the Series 5 was shipped USPS to EMR's PO box so I was stuck playing the game with my absolute last backup gun (but also my first ever paintball gun) a Trracer. Had a blast even though I only had a Trracer because someone brought a whole cooler full of Tippmann grenades. I would just run up and start chucking them through the windows of the castle wherever people were shooting out of. On the other hand my dad decided he wanted to try playing paintball so Dave (S7G) loaned him a Craig Palmer edition Blazer and he went out there and had a great time. He even bought a beat up old Sniper 3 from S7G for the pump game the next day. Still have that Sniper 3 and have been meaning to restore it. About a week later some kind person at EMR picked up my Series 5 and shipped it to me in Alaska and I still have that gun too.

Definitely my high point in paintball.

It would probably easier to list the gear I bought and did use. Definitely a shorter list.
    I can haz feedback?

Well, I have had a lot of markers come n go that ended up being trade fodder, or just got flipped.

One that comes to mind, I got 2 seperate angels in gearbag buyouts, and never shot either.first was a speed with pewter accents. Sold it as I didnt want to mess with an angel at that time.

2nd was a clariet red a3? I got batteries and everything, and sold it all off as a project. Never shot it once, never took a screw out of it.

And I currently have a Fight Club Flex in my pb cave. I pre ordered it and had full intentions to use it, it took so long to ship after the pre order, I had built a mask to use by then. It still sits in the box.

I got $350 for my fight club flex on eBay. I put it on as soon as I got it and realized the colors were way lighter then I thought they were going to be. I still have my urban camo one it matches my custom Ano marker so it’s staying.

Guess they can't chop or leak if you don't ever shoot them

The one automag I ever owned went like this:
        - curious about them, so bought one
        - exited to receive it
        - opened the box
        - picked it up
        - put my hand on the grip, pulled the trigger a few times ... No ...
        - put it back in the box
        - sold it

I bought an Empire Z2 loader when they first came out, tried to use it several times, but it always just blended paint like it’s life depended on it.

Very disappointing. Nothing like my trusty Dye Rotor or Spires.

I do this with Craigslist lots all the time! I see something vaguely interesting, buy the lot, forget about it, sell. :/

Bought a GZ Timmy at the end of a season, put some upgrades into it. Team disbanded over the winter, my job took over my life, and I was out of paintball. Still have it.

Every autococker I've owned up to this point.

Couple mags that got flipped before I got them to the field.

                My first two phantoms...

A smile mountain of electros I would buy, fix, take the the field and loan out and then the guy would buy it at the end of the day. (Field owner loved me for that, definitely helped sell some paint over players having to use a rental because their Spyder disintegrated)

I bought a beat as hell 68 special years ago. Ex rental from OA that I bought from Jincay. Terrible shape, beat to a pulp and barely shot 200 on liquid. I tracked down a new power tube, new barrel, a few other bits. I painted the hell out of it with primer and a neat grey textured paint. Got it shooting over 300 with some wonderful consistency. Looked awesome, couldn't wait to use it. Then I needed money to put together my sniper before PP, so I sold it for less then I paid for everything before I took it to the field. Guy who bought it from me got it to modify for HPA use. He took it completely apart and stripped the paint. he actually told asked me how I finished it because it took so much to remove the paint. Always wished I kept that thing, it was pretty darn cool, And knowing I probably could have just sold him the same gun pre refurb for his purposes was just the icing on the cake.

Davey Crockett headband from Blackstar. This fuzzy floofy faux fur headband. Felt like it was never cold enough to wear it, and now I don't wear tied headbands anymore, just sweatbands.
