I can’t aim anything single tube. Phantoms, mags, shockers, you name it, I’ve tried it, and missed with it.

I’m the same. I like the bottom tube on my nose and my eyes looking “through” the top tube and the barrel. With a single tube my eyes are above the barrel and I don’t like it.

at 45 and overweight even with the new jerseys it gets too freaking hot out there.. I have to take off my jersey between matches or I will end up with heat stroke.

The new jerseys help but even the New England weather is too hot for my fat ass.

What type of "Jerseys" are you guys wearing? I have multiple made for either SC Roadkill or Good Fellows teams I've belonged to and they are lighter and more breathable then any random "T" Shirt. None are padded, do rec players use padded Jerseys? Most of the time I wear a compression shirt and an Extra Large pull over Jersey (custom "camo" mostly) in temperate to hot weather. In cold weather I will add a long sleeve heavy T Shirt. I gave up on Military camo shirts years ago as they just soak up the sweat and don't breath.

Oh and I can not use an auto-trigger to save my life. Most the time I forget a marker can AT and in the rare occasion I think of it I end up short stroking the pump and pinch a ball so I just don't use them.

Sometimes. Padded jerseys are definitely a thing. I remember back in the mid-2000s when padding was (usually) frowned upon/made fun of, and nothing came with it except pants. It's somewhat commonplace nowadays and people like it. I know I appreciate it.

I wear a sweat wicking dry fit whatever tank top and then t-shirt. I know there definitely are lighter and better jerseys out there, maybe I will try more out one day.

wear jerseys. I get too damn hot, too damn quick. After one game I am panting like a dog and peel it off. As much as I want to look super cool and like I know what I am doing, a t-shirt and armpads is all I need to survive.

Share your experiences of things in paintball you tried to do/use but gave up on. (I am sure "shooting an electro" will be a popular one)

The arm pads are usually optional. They tend to be too hot for me to wear. This picture was taken at a field, that was built on a concrete floor, mostly overhead cover and summertime. I've taken a couple of dives/slides, on this floor myself, intentional and unintentional. 😉/😣 Mostly... it all depends on weather, temperature, and terrain! 😉

Can't do Phantoms any more. They are a good platform and fun to mod, but once you feel how smooth other nelsons are, you just can't go back.

Can't do bounce pads, I nearly died of heat stroke after ONE game in a PE Overload padded setup.

Can't get 98% of PB pants to fit me correctly. I love running them, but the only pair that fits is some vintage XSV JT pants from a long way ago. I love kneeling and sliding, and hate wearing knee pads. So having them in the pants works best for me.

Can't wear jerseys... that have huge logos on them. I hate having a huge HK or DYE logo on jerseys. So I only run my Mando/BobaFett jerseys now.

Can't run Sheridans/Palmers to save my life. They never work for me.

Phantoms are nice, no question. But that damn pump stroke... I'd much rather shoot my Trracer.

For pants, try contacting UNDR. They make pants to-order. I needed a 32x36 & the pants they sent me are damn near perfect. Got the padded option too, which has the padding running from mid-thigh all the way down to the ankle cuff, the width of the front panel. Nice knowing you aren't gonna bang your shins up. Surprisingly light too considering the amount of padding. Double-layer mesh on the back for breathability, hip pads that velcro in, and deep pockets. They fit somewhere between the old school baggy pants & the current joggers- a good middle ground IMO.
I posted a review of them on MCB 2.0. Perhaps I should find it & repost it.

Unfortunately I have tried UNDR, and while I love their jerseys, their pants didn't work for me. Tried the size I thought would fit based on my measurements, and couldn't even put them on they were too small. Gave them my measurements, and ended up with something is a super tiny waste that then flared out so wide I could have been smuggling an entire family in the pant legs. So I gave up. Ended up with some Disruption pants that fit ok.

I thought about UNDR pants (haha... underpants) but recently went route of joggers to show off my chicken legs. Made by a small company called Poison. Haven't played with them yet but joggers honestly are so comfortable.

I use Undr, Anthrax and Raza jerseys. My new Jerseys this year are UNDR Veteran Militia (the most breathable) Custompaintball.co Mysfits (kinda heavy but my main team jersey)

I have two jerseys on the way from Anthrax so I will tell you what I think.

I won't play with a pump. Do what you want, but I think they are boring and kinda lame. My semis are point -> shoot. Adding in a pump stroke detracts from that simplicity for me, especially when I want to devote as much of my attention as possible to my surroundings, not my equipment.

I wear an Eclipse or a 2015 JT jersey. Both are breathable and keep the desert sun away from my skin's surface, keeping me cooler than a t-shirt would. I won't wear paintball pants, though. I dislike all the padding and the weird dimensions.

When you say other Nelsons, what are you referring to specifically? The only comparable Nelson that I have found to be markedly smoother is a Line SI or something with a similar pump handle, or something like a Gargoyle.

I dig about Sheridans/Palmers. I love my stocker, but it is the pinnacle of jank

Carters and Line SI were what I was referring to. Both of my Buzzards were BUTTER smooth, Boxgun was pretty good and my Duck is decent but has a funky return spring. I had a Comp that was sprung really heavily, so it was a hard pump stroke, but it was still smooth. Phantoms just have a *clunk* to them that I can't un-feel. Its like noticing a noise during driving and then you can't un-hear that for the rest of the trip. I love Palmer's ideas and even some of their form factor. But every single PPS and Sheridan gun I've had has leaked, and I just can't justify it.

Carter, Line SI, Rebline, any tournament style Nelson with buzzard style handle, even PMI Trracer, they all pump better than a twisty handle Phantom. My main guns these days are Phantoms so I’m a fan but I’m not going to pretend the pump stroke isn’t the worst thing about them. Just look how much people spend trying to fix it, undercocker kits, little brass tubes, Phuzzard mods, whatever you call the Gargoyle, etc...nobody ever did any of that to a Spartan.

I love the noise spool electors make but after using mechs, the triggers are weird.

Another one - Those heavy padded paintball pants. I had a pair of Empire pants, and they felt big and heavy.

I cant shoot a lvl 10. I HATE those chuffy, leaky, finicky contraptions. I had one for 1 season as my main shooter. It worked awesome when it worked, about 50% of the time. It otherwise leaked, chuffed, and or stuck when it really counted at times.

I ditch the lvl 10 as well, same experience. Never trusted it as my primary, just fun build mag. All three of my mags are classics now.

With a force fed hopper (Rotor) and a Doc's adapter, my Level 7 classic Mag doesn't have a problem with chopping. So I'm not sure a Level 10 is necessary. Between constant pressure on the ball stack and rubber finger detents, there's no misfeeding problem to correct anymore. I'm also running a PF Minimag body, though I'm not sure if that really matters.

MrBarraclough i honestly feel it does. I looked back through my mag pics i found a few of my mag in the from before upgrading to a ULE body. Though the ule was nicer. I recall noticing more barrel breaks in the ule body, and I always figured it was just chance. Now a days I figure its cuz a direct feed body just puts a little more stress on paint vs a pf body.

Pod packs, plate carriers, chest rigs, anything on my waist or chest.

I can't really put a finger on why I just find them horrendously irritating. Probably because I'm fat.

Anything I need to carry be it, a tank, mags, pods, or a pistol I carry on one of those stupid looking molle thigh things. Lower than your waist, but higher than a drop leg panel. It bangs my legs up especially when I'm carrying a 68/45 that way but I just prefer it there
