That time you forgot it behind....!!!

Name that time, you had it all planned out, showed up to the field ready to go, checked your gearbag , and <<Insert Paintball Related Gear Here>> was gone!

Here is a recent one of mine from last season. Showed up to the field where I am a member. Started putting my gun together, tank on, hopper on. Was about to load with paint, and reached for my barrel bag....... and they were gone ! Left behind at home safely on my workbench.

The fix was an easy one, to borrow a barrel bag from the rental counter, but I felt no less a dummy.

Anyhow, i am sure you boyz have better stories ! C'mon now, admit your official entry into the Paintball Dummy Hall of Shame !!!

Got to the field and started setting up my gun and noticed the nipple for my remote line was missing. I live pretty close to the field and knew exactly where it was at home, so I just drove home to get it. Upon locating it at home, I realized my MASK was sitting right next to it. I might have also forgotten my barrel bag a time or two as well.

It's footwear for me. I seem to always forget to bring or swap over to my junk shoes/boots so my good shoes get shloopy.

Yeah I played in Crocs one day because I forgot my shoes and was an hour away from home. I always triple check it now. In fact, I created a check list and I use that to be sure everything is there. I have it down to include my socks.

I have never forgotten my boots/shoes, but I have forgotten my socks a few times.

I rarely forget anything paintball-specific, but goddamn if I don't forget my boots ALL THE TIME.

I've played in sandals more times than I'd like to admit because of this. I should really just keep a spare pair of boots in the car...

Did a paintball game at a stag once and the groom had his own equipment that I brought. Of course I didn’t tell him until the last minute I had his gear. Only thing I didn’t think about bringing was, of course, his shoes. He arrived in a wedding dress and heels of some sort and the only other pair of shoes he had were his dress shoes as we were all to wear suits for dinner that night. He played in his dress shoes.

I had prepped my bag to shoot the SSR all day, I only took a few projects/tester that may or may not work ...

GOr to the field, stup, put the gun together, I never air it up on the staging because it needs to be cocked and my trigger mod is so soft ... Time to walk out, put my mask on, grab some 12g, mags ... And can't find the 12g plug ....
Looked everywhere, tore up the bag ... It just wasn't there ...
Found it when I got home, and I made a leash for it THAT NIGHT!
Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

Similar to others, one and a half hour drive to play at an indoor field way back when.

Getting ready realized I forgot my cleats at home.... and I was wearing flip flops.

Lucky the store had a pair of those dye atcs in my size (they were not great barely lasted the season). Boots/cleats are always first thing packed since then.

Drove from MD to FL a few weeks ago for my brother and nephew's birthdays. We had about 8 people playing paintball that I was supplying gear for so I had a car full. The night I arrived in Florida we took the gear into my brother's house and did show and tell then packed everything in the car the next morning to go to the field. Upon arriving we realized we left several tanks, my main pump and a few other goodies at the house an hour away.

Fortunately, my brothers wife was able to drive the gear halfway and my brother met her in the middle.

On a non paintball related note, I once drove from MD to NC to mountain bike only to realize my front wheel was still home in the garage.
"but we all have electros and you guys only have pumps, this wont be fair"

              (chuckling quietly) "we know"

I went through a bad habit of always forgetting a sleeping bag or pillow, lol. I had enough gear to arm a small militia but no blanket.

Yup. I ALWAYS create a camping list when I travel to camp & play. Still always forget something, but it's usually something very minor. Better than forgetting the sleeping bag.

I am also the shoe forgetter. Often.

We were at an event for the CFOA up in Rock Hill IIRC. We arrive at the field plenty early to pick a good spot, get set up, pods loaded. We are all chilling when we find that our mid player had forgotten his shoes at home. Our manager rushes off to find some, comes back just about the moment we have to walk on the field for the first game with a set of Spalding cleats that HAD to be a size 15 or so. Guy wore 10's, so we stuffed them full of paper up front and off he went. Looked like freaking clown shoes, it was funny as hell. To top it, he kept tripping over his own "toes" all day. Pissed him off real good and we did very well.....

Back when I used to wear glasses, I used an ExFog system on my mask. On more than one occasion, I drove off with my mask still at home on the charger and I had to turn around to go get it -- typically after twenty minutes or so on the road.

I was conducting a leadership exercise for first year NCOs of the Swedish Armed Forces, and supplied my own fleet of Automags for them to use. This was about 3-4 hours drive from my home at the moment. The NCOs were divided in groups of 10 for the different stations of training, so I needed 10 Automags, which I could manage. When I were about to assemble the Automags late in the evening before, I noticed that I had forgotten my to bring my two main Automags, both still in their gunbags in my apartment...

Luckily I had brought my rather large bin of spare Automag parts, so I simply assembled two more Automags. Problem solved, AGD style.

I had that happen years ago..... me and my friends were on our way to a big paintball event got about halfway there and I realized I forgot the valve tool for my VM 68. Since you kind of need one of those to adjust velocity I was screwed without it, had to turn around and get it.

Ive done it all. Getting rid of a lot of gear helped. Now they just sit in toats so its harder to forget stuff now since they are all together in the same containers.

would suck to drive out to the field and realize I forgot to put my toats in the trunk lol

                          What's a "toat"? lol

I've tried totes, but that just gives me more reason to cram more stuff into the back of my truck. It's too easy, lol.
I acquired a PE rolling gearbag last year & that helps me limit what I take to whatever I can fit in that bag. I still wanna take absolutely everything, but I'm soooo much happier at the field not having all that other stuff.

One thing I do nowadays is I take a simple gun bag & put the marker, barrel cover, barrel, grease & spare o-rings in it. I just leave them stacked on a shelf. Just grab the one I want & I know it's got what I need already in it.
