    I once purchased.....

    I once purchased:

A G7 Fly only because I wanted the trigger.
Another fade G7 because I only wanted the front end caps.
An A4 Fly because I wanted the board from it.
A DM3 because I wanted the Punisher themed backplate off of it, and later on a GenX Matrix because I wanted (specifically) it's black back plate and black front plug.
I am sure there are more.....

    Share.

i know this feeling. I tried to purchase an old pro-lite, just for its Lapco cocking knob. I wanted it to finish off my Tippmann Pro-Carbine, because the plentiful Lapco M98 cocking knobs don’t fit. The guy didn’t ship to Canada ...bummer

My most mysterious I once purchased:

When WGP was on the way down the tubes you could pick up a Prostock for nothing. I got a brand new in the box, never opened one for $100 shipped. There was someone on the old forum that did a really cool halfblock/sled/bolt conversion so I sent it over to him to have that done and to have anno afterward. I purchased a full set of chrome Palmers pneus and both the high and low pressure regs. Shortly thereafter I got in my accident and parts started arriving at the house while I was in the hospital.
A box of absolutely gorgeous Chrome pneumatics show up, and I ask the wife to bring me the boxes so I could see them and sniff that rare factory air. Among it was the full sized Chrome Stabilizer. Blingingly unbelievable, fingerprint free shiney goodness comes out of the box and I practically have a boner.
I hand it back to my lovely wife and ask her to put it with the other parts so I could play with them when I get home. I never saw that regulator again. I have zero idea what could have happened to it. I can only imagine and hope that one day while my kids are going through all our stuff, they will open that slightly heavy small rectangular box and wonder what the hell the shiny thing inside is.

Bought a Brass Eagle branded Elite style JT mask this past weekend at a big game. Just for the BE strap.

Well, my younger boy will now have a starter mask, but the strap was the selling point for me.

I once purchased a cheap mint Palmerized KP3 sight unseen to flip. I still have it several years later.

I have bought many guns over the years for a part on them. Usually swap or remove that part and am able to sell the gun again for the same or more.

Always ask "what else do you want to get rid of?"

Multiple vintage "full kits" or gearbags when I showed up just to buy one gun. Show up and find out these guys have other stuff they haven't gotten around to listing yet.

An X-mill bushy with all the goodies for $60. Dye stainless, Zenitram frame and VASA, eye mod, vigilante reg.

Also my Shocktech bushy in an ebay lot with a bunch of random blowbacks. Sold the blowbacks and the hyper 1 reg that was on the bushy for more than I paid for the lot.

Got what I'm pretty sure was a 96-97ish Bob Long cocker off of my cousins friend. Paid 40 bucks 12-13 years ago and traded it for a DM4 worth about 350 at the time. Wish I'd kept that one.
