    Remote harness for big tank.

I'm getting a setup ready for my first big game later this year. I have an 80 and an 88ci tank on hand, but the two harnesses (NXe I think) I've bought with a tank pouch do not fit either of them. Anyone have a recommendation to run a harness with a bigger tank? Or would i be better off sourcing a smaller bottle? I am a big fella, so the tac-vest style is probably out. I have belt extenders for harness straps.

I'd say first, how much paint can you carry/shoot? And how efficient is your marker?

Pick your tank based around that number

Are the tanks you have standard shape or stubby?

don't think i'll shoot much. maybe carry 2-3 pods plus the tank. The tank bottles i have are pretty standard. HK 80 ci and FS 88.

Unless you have pencil arms, 80/88 is not too much mounted on the gun.

Get a pod pack for what paint you need, and forget about the complexities of a remote tank.

This setup is a throwback to my first gun ever, a Stingray with t-stock + remote.

Ah, backbottle. I totally understand wanting a remote for that. I can't stand the bottle being in the way.

Honestly, if you're shooting the hopper plus 2 or 3 tubes & you have access to air between games/on breaks, you don't need a tank that size. I'd use a smaller tank if you have one. If not, could you rent one instead of buying one?

You may want to checkout molle belts/vests since you can find molle pod holders and molle tank holders that may be big enough. I know Valken makes a "universal" molle tank holder that looks like it will hold larger tanks. Or, look into older style packs with tank holders, probably made them bigger back then.

renting a tank from the field hadn't occurred to me. the field uses standard 48/3k bottles so that should work nice with the pack I have and keep costs to a minimum on this silly one-off setup. I sent them an email to see if I can do that.

Hey, I just noticed you're in WI. What field are you going to be playing at, if you don't mind my asking?

Ah, OK. I'm smack in the middle of WI, but I make the drive to both GBGs at Splat-Tag every year. Hopefully I can get out to ST or Twin Cities Airsoft for a pump/pistol game this year.

Another option for you, dye makes a harness/vest (closer to a backpack, nothing but shoulder straps in front) but it's completely modular, you can pick how many pods you want and where they are. Valken makes a molle tank holder that should strap to it without problem and it holds up toa 90ci tank
