So I definitely get the mech "revival" in the current climate. And I applaud the companies that are making mech frames for their markers. But I have noticed it seems to be focused on the upper level of the mid range market. I would LOVE to see the market slide down a bit to the lower mid level. Well, maybe it's just the one major manufacturer who doesn't seem to have an offering yet, Empire. It would be great to see a mech frame for the Axe pro, or the Mini GS. Even better, how about breathing new life into older markers, the Egos, Eteks, OG Axes and Minis.

Mech frames on electros ... why only the upper midrange markers?

Well a lot of those are reliant on the dwell timing to maintain a consistent fps. If your dwell timing is now reliant on someone's finger, you have an issue.
I'm not saying that problem is not insurmountable but it does require a lot more work and clever design. As a business owner, why would I design a mech frame for a og mini when it requires more work and there are less people out there using them than ever before?

At the lower price points, you're also competing directly with dedicated "entry level" mechanical markers like the Enmey and the Emek.

Exactly. And the Emek is such a juggernaut in that market as it is. I don't think a mech Mini GS would take away enough market share from the Emek to make it worth GI's time. Not that they've put themselves in a position to do anything new/interesting anyway, lol.

Honestly, I wouldn't mech my GS if it were an option. Even if it weren't a Limited Edition version, I still wouldn't do it. I've been reserving it for tournaments. My walkon setup is a Spyder vs2 and a Mech Ion (sometimes my eNMEy) as my daily drivers.

Also, there's likely not enough demand from consumers for mech frames for stuff that old. Companies have to move on, and some of the older Egos/Eteks are getting difficult to find parts for as it is. I don't really think there's a demand for it, much less having it being priced low enough for people to find it worth buying. Would I buy a mech frame for my Angel? Heck yes. Would I pay the (likely) $150-200+ price tag for it? Nope.
It would be cool, don't get me wrong. But I don't see it happening.

From a consumer perspective it seems like the biggest reason for the mech frames for top end guns is a few things:
1. Top end consumers have the $$$ to pay for a $200-300 mech frame. On the lower end you can just buy a mech for that money
2. Top end consumers like to have a "one and done" setup that they're willing to pay over $1000 for ie: the adrenaline guns
3. New mechs are so cheap that you can never get a mech conversion cheaper than an entire mech gun. Look at any of the mech frames and for the same money you can buy a lightly used Emek or an Azodin.
