Does the Wikipedia page picture for "Autococker" irritate anyone else?

So this is identified as an "early model autococker" and it's clearly not.
It's a 1998 body but a silver one that's been spray-painted black (dig the inside of the feedneck and overall flaking) though the backblock and cocking rod style are older than that. It's missing the trigger shoe and input regulator and the barrel is off of a 2000 autococker. No idea what kind of beavertail that is but it's not factory and clearly damaged, and whoever owned this gun outfitted the pneumatic hoses with cover springs even though WGP had long since stopped using them.

It's like someone was trying to re-create what they thought would look like a vintage autococker but lacked any of the components.

There are so many things weird and chronologically inappropriate about what is presumably supposed to be a representative "early autococker" picture and it just bugs the hell out of me. How has this never been changed to something better?

Yup its actually a 4 way. If you talk to a pneumatic supplier and tell them you need a 3 way to get a double acting piston to work your going to be sorely disappointed in what you get in the mail.

PPS Hurricanes use a Humphreys 4ppx 4way switch, which is what the early "cup and clip" WGP "3ways" are based off of, and essentially the grandfather of every switch used on Cockers now.

Just a bit of trivia, FWIW.

Yeah, it's a 4 way. It'll shift the air four directions: middle to front (or vice-versa), middle to rear (or vice versa), front to exhaust, rear to exhaust. Four directions = 4-way switch. We have similar systems in the factory I work at.

Well, they should show an autococker with the original factory reg, but those regs were so terrible, that apart from early APG scans, I don't think any exist anymore

I've noticed this too! I try to do the sorta wu wei thing and have a soft spot for OG gear and certain aspects, but some of the new tech is really cool! Also I like the fact that I see more inclusion (women, etc.) playing these days compared to when I first started.
