I think I'd invest in already popular and established fields, with some of the money. The other %98 of the cash buy up some property with strategic location and build an outdoor park which has a paintball field. Work with the localities to get all the tax advantages and just make an awesome place for picnic, biking, skating, playgrounds, and lots of room for paintball.

Any capital left over or if the operational debt can swing it I'd put in a shop as well.

Most of the money would probably be used in acquiring the location and permits, sadly.

Field for sure. Amazing outdoor fields complete with a big ol indoor complex for the winter and mega hot days. Fleet of rental Emeks with light weight tanks and masks with dual pan lenses. Build a paintball-manufacturing plant nextdoor.

100 million dollars is gigantic money for paintball.

I would mainly want to establish Stock Class as the #1 tournament format that paintball becomes most recognized for which means major promotion and big prizes and building up teams and a whole tournament series. Not sure if I wouldn't also make a stock class gun myself so that its not just everyone trying to buy phantoms.

I could probably afford to buy a couple of my favorite paintball businesses while I'm at it.

At first I thought I would open a mega field but actually I would open 3-4 Bass pro shop type stores for paintball. I would have magfed areas, speedball and specialized areas. You could try gear on and shoot guns. Get all the brands together in one place. Put stores on both coasts and a few in big areas like Chicago and Texas.

                  -This, unfortunately.

This market is simply not one where a big cash injection can move the proverbial needle much.

This is fair, but bear in mind I didn't specify the need to make a profit

If I really had 100mil and wanted to start a viable business, anything to do with paintball would be near the bottom of my list. Competition from gaming, and increasingly VR, and so on mean I think paintball has seen its best days.

That's why I would just focus on making a tournament scene around stock class, with all the money needed to support and build the platform at an accelerated pace.

Stock class is boring. Make it open class or mech only tournaments and I'm all on board.

On second thought, I would buy out PE and let Jack Wood go crazy on R&D. I'd hire Simon Stevens too. Let Mark H from HK Army be our marketing guy and let him be able to push great products out on social media. I wouldn't probably have a lot of money left over but it would be fun while it lasted. #PaintballDreamTeam

Better yet, we could buy our way into the Olympics! That would stop the yearly/monthly/daily "Why can't PB be in the Olympics posts. That's almost worth 100mil to me.

Sorry but I wouldn't buy anything that Mark from HK is pushing. I won't even consider HK products. If a product needs that much spastic over the top screaming about how good it is, it probably isn't that good.

Oh I understand but he seems to sell a lot of gear. I'm just saying, if you're going to go big, go really big.

Is totally an act, and it's worked well for them. He's a very smart guy irl. HK Army are probably the best company in paintball when it comes to marketing strategy and wider business strategy.

With 100 million I would create the Tim Hortons of paintball fields, early Tim Hortons that is. I would (dreaming maybe... possible maybe) have an in house paintball encapsulation machine made, like a little donut maker hehe . I would setup distribution for the raw inputs and and develop a franchise model that would lease the units to interested fields in exchange for a percentage of revenue and some earning on the raw inputs. This would allow me to standardize pricing, marketing, equipment used, gameplay, somewhat player experience etc and create a buyers group amongst fields that would be able to put pressure on the current industry to provide our group best pricing and service.
