Red Dot/ Scope Protection

For all of you who have a red dot or scope on your paintball guns, what kind of lens protection do you use? I've always wanted to try one out but my guns get covered in spray and could see that being a big issue.

Maybe some see-thru clear polycarb lens covers?

I have a $20 reflex sight I made a cover out of some lexan I had laying around by cutting a disc shape roughly the same size as the outer ring of the sight and I taped it over the outside edge with some black electrical tape which worked pretty good for me. As a bonus I used a small drill bit to mark (not a hole just a dot size mark) the center out on the lens cover and sighted in the reflex so the red dot lined up with the center mark on the cover and I had it sighted to line up with my target at about 60' out, not necessary but I found it helped me line up my shots a lot easier.

I have 2 type of scope/red dots.
the cheap (~$20-30) which I can live with loosing on a bad hit (hasn't happened ulyet) and the fancy (supremacy which is waterproof) which took direct hit multiple times and get washed with wet towel.

So far I haven't lost any ... Might change my mind when it happen ...

You can get the rail mounted ones and the ones that slide on with orings. The rail mounted ones work best when they're right against the sight. EOtech style sights need a specific one.

See through scope/flashlight covers like the one in the image below and eye relief cone is all I have used on my ADCO Mirage since the early 90s and it has taken 100s if not 1000s of hits and still works.

I got one of those with a TIPX I bought and for a while used it to keep splatter off the holo sight I was using on my MG100. I never actually took a direct hit to the protector. It was somewhat effective but I think I prefer to use OEG sights like the Armson and 32 Degrees Magnum. Plus, with sights like those my camera effectively becomes the sight protector.
