I'm down to 11 from a peak of 15 or 16. No matter what I do I can't shake from having 3-4 electos despite barely ever using them. Pumps are tough to get rid of because I build them myself and there is sentimental value there. I too like everyone else only use a handful of them. Though, I've been trying to pull more of them out for recball lately. Personally, I find it hard not to seek out all the guns I couldn't afford when I was in high school and college.

A lot of truths said there. I don't have the electro problem but I do build all of my markers so I don't want to get rid of any of them. I think the last statement about wanting everything I couldn't afford when I started is probably the most true.

Don't even joke about having loaners. We all know that if you're an MCB gun collector none of your "loaners" actually work or are even assembled completely. This is the way.

The sentimental value thing is a big thing. I keep several guns around that I pretty much never use just because I've had them so long and/or they were guns I lusted after when I was younger. Nothing wrong with having a few guns you just play with when watching tv.

I don’t think I have a exceptionally large collection but In my past I brought out basically everything I had. And then only used the Automag, pro carbine, or SL68II (had tracer I ran before that).

Going forward I trying just to bring the four.

ULE classic Mag(new main), and the classic Mag(nostalgia as it’s the Mag I been shooting for 20+years now), Azodin KPII (pump fun) and the tippmann SL68II(backup pump).

For semis I have yet to shoot anything I prefer over a classic Mag. And pumps. I prefer Nelson’s but the azodins been a project and when it works it’s a lot of fun. And when it doesn’t. Well the SL68II is always ready to fill that roll very well.

The rest of my stuff are pretty much wall hangers or loaners (mostly my sister runs the GOG). All my stuff I purchased new over the years so some been around a long ass time and I have fond memories of.

AGD 68 Automag, AGD ULE 68 Automag, Azodin KPII, Tippmann SL68II, Umarex TR50.

My "collection" is always evolving/devolving. I buy markers I lust after to play with or modify so everything I have is subject to being used. I don't anthropomorphize things, paintball markers are tools to be used so if they don't get used they tend to get sold. I do have a couple long term under-used markers but that is mainly because I don't play enough to easily cycle through all of my markers and they are more "specialized". I always take at least one of my super reliable markers to be sure I have something to play with but try to bring something "different" to spend some time with each time I go out.

The Automag: Not as clumsy or random as an electro. An elegant marker for a more civilised age.

I had one of those before kids. Now I had to build my own paintball closet.

I also have a paintball closet. Although it’s spilled out into my tool/furnace room.

Doesn't count as a collection if you're a dealer. Everyone expects the dope man to keep a few pounds around.

If I had room like that, I'd insist on referring to it as "the arsenal" so much that my wife would slap me.

technically a portion of this on the right is for sale but all the gun bags shown is not.

Being a high school kid definitely helps, since I just don't have the cash to impulse-buy stuff, but in the past I've had the opposite problem. My first gun was a phantom, and I did not enjoy playing with it at all, but I stuck with it as my only gun for over a year because I was trying to convince myself it was all I needed. Luckily I snagged a trilogy on craigslist for $45 and found out that paintball is actually fun when your gear works for you, otherwise I probably would have just quit. Right now I have my sniper, an Emek, and a classic mag that I got for free from my neighbor.

Yeah, I don't fit in here lol

If I had unlimited funds, I'd probably buy an EMF100, an Umarex revolver, an Airowgun and an Azodin KP3. Maybe a speedball gat. That would be it.

I'm of the "use it or lose it" school also. My rule of thumb is that if it hasn't been used in a year then it's okay for it to move on. I see no point in a sprawling collection that perpetually lives in storage bins. I actually just sold my last A5 because it hadn't got any field time in two years, and realistically wouldn't over my mags and Emek. Poof, gone on ebay! I have two more markers that may also get the cut soon for the same reason. I've been trying to focus on actually playing once a month with my stuff the last few years. I don't want to be that guy that has a huge collection taking up space, and hasn't played in four or more years. I also don't want to be the same guy who has the cool old stuff but sucks at actually playing because he never gets out to use it.

I think out of all my (8, 9?) markers, I'd keep maybe 3 if I could sell the rest without taking a bath... but I refuse to sell on Facebook and tbh, the crowd on here has shrunk a bit. The BST section doesn't have the audience it once did.

I do have one or two I'm keeping purely for sentiment, but almost everything else could go... Realistically the last time I actually really had fun playing involved the use of an Invert Mini, not anything old school or collectible.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Yeah the MCB boom boom really affected the BST numbers

Every time I go to Living Legends, I pack about 4 guns I'll actually use. About 2 more I might use for one insertion trying to find photographers to get pics of me using, and about 10 guns to have on standby for use as conversation starters when hanging out in the pits.

I have a wall myself, but mine get used as often as I can (within the last year I haven’t been able to play much). I generally rotate them out. I’m not a fan of bringing a ton of guns to the field but I will take two different ones each time and use them. I also shoot them in the back yard on occasion and chrono them so I don’t have to deal with setting them up each time I go play. If you have a playing instead of static collection, that’s the best way I found. I will also always bring my G6R as a backup since that never fails. I also lend them to friends, who love using them.

That's a good point... the last couple of times I've been able to get out I spent a good chunk of time either at the chrony or the staging area, teching stuff, and not really focusing on playing.
