    Old Paintball Advertising

Got this ad recently with a gun I bought of Craigslist. Not really old, but from the good old days. It’s in great condition and just brought back some memories and was fun to look through.

Did Smart Parts have a rifled barrel, or are they just talking about the spiral porting?

I love looking back at all these prices. Brings back the memories...

Anyone know what year these are from?

And what's a "full Auto kit" for a tippman model 98? Unless I'm mistaken you can't do a RT or e frame on those

Long shot but it's that store still in business?

Based on the 99 Cocker or 2000 Bushy I’m thinking one of those years depending on when the models were released. They do have a website still, but it’s more like I&I. A shell of it’s former self.

"Full auto kit" was probably the bolt-on kit that the ATF banned... it was a box with an electric motor that bolted to the trigger guard and used a paddle to pull the trigger.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Oh man I completely forgot about those Nice call

I bet those are worth slightly more than the asking price these days

When was the 98c released? I just realized this is all m98

Also I just realized, on the second page under the shockers they are selling a "68ci co2"

Being an unregistered NFA title III item made after 1986, they'd be worth a federal indictment.

              Talk about memories.

I remember struggling to decide between the model 98 and the new Pro/carbine back in the day. Ultimately opting for the carbine. After holding both at the local pro shop.

I have a C.O. Paintball t-shirt from back in the day. Strange thing is I had never actually been to the place. I'm not sure how I ended up with it.

So, anyone else have an old magazine with some advertising? I'm kind of digging this thread if it continues

My first HPA system ever was a Falcon 114.. Strapped that thing to the bottom of a Typhoon of all things.

Also owned both the Benchmark and KAPP cradles too.

Holy crap I had completely forgotten about that place. I remember being on their mailing list and getting these catalog/flyer things in the mail in college. Used to circle stuff I wanted to buy on it for fun. I don't think I ever order more than a couple of small things from them back then though.

An Angel for $1100. Think I paid right around that for my first stock one in around '98-'99. Maxed out my first credit card paying for it. That's like $1800 in today's dollars. I guess new gun prices have stayed fairly consistent then..

I love how everything on that page is "only" (insert price)

                      Man, nearly $500 for a 68/45
