....I will never be able to un-see what I just watched.....

If the UN knew that trailer existed they may classify it as crewel and unusual punishment

If anyone buys this, I would love to have some screenshots for the PB Movie listing. (See Sig.)

I might have to try snipping some from that trailer....

One: A movie like that was actually available on laser disc?!?

And two: Holy crap, it's been four years(!!!) since I updated that movie page?!?

We had a bunch of stuff listed in a long thread on the old board, and I kept telling myself I'll get to it when I have time... We should restart that....

It is amazing how many films from the 1980s that were never put to dvd.

Here you can buy it on VHS:

                https://www.amazon.com/Alls-Fair-VHS...=alls+fair+vhs
Or, if you don't mind German dubbing, here it is on YouTube, courtesy of a few German paintballers.

                https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X49vbIq4RVY

If any of you buy the cassette, I expect a full English rip to be shared somewhere.

Copyright has expired on this film, yeah? Any reason not to upload it to Youtube in full?

                  VHS is inbound.

It's always fun to watch a young person encounter a laser disc player for the first time. The sheer size of the things, and how smooth the analog scrubbing is always impresses them.

I was born in '87, and I know what laser disc is. I dated a chick in high school who's dad was a huge Star Wars nerd, and he had a laser disc player hooked up to an HD computer monitor (because TV tech wasn't quite there yet) in the living room, because it was the highest quality Star Wars release up until blue ray.

I was born in 92 and I know about laser disc. For some reason, the shop class in HS played a machine safety video off LD. This was like in 2007 lol. Long after DVD's were a thing.

-Don't count on it. I don't know who produced it, but chances are good somebody still owns the rights to it.

That said, it's a lame rom-com from the 80s that no one saw, probably only saw very limited production onto VHS, and likely never made it to DVD.

Personally, I'd say upload it, and see how long before somebody finds it and files a takedown. Could be a matter of days, might be never.

I took some screenshots from the trailer, you can see just about everything you'd expect from 1989. 007s, PGPs, PMI-IIs, a couple heavily customized things that may just be props, or are pumps with stocks and shrouds and the like, one guy had something that was probably meant to be a "flame thrower" backpack sprayer, and of course the two guys that got hit with "land mines", one hard enough to blow his hat off.

Plus what I'm pretty sure was a Darkside Mk II, and naturally somebody had an SMG-60 that despite extended firing, never ejected a single clip.

Goggles and safety gear are about what you'd expect for an '80s paintball movie. At best, some Uvex goggles, but most just had sunglasses, shooting glasses or shop safety glasses. No masks, no ear protection, etc.

I was going to try and get a fresh write-up posted to my site this weekend, if I have time.

                        Doc.
