I recall posts in the past about creative and inexpensive ways to store and transport Freak inserts safely. I've seen some cool 3D printed cases but would like to avoid paying over $30. I only have 5 inserts as well.

It was a little over $30 (but not by a lot actually) but this is what rainmaker printed for me. It's setup for the XL inserts and capable of fitting 10 inserts and a single piece 14 inch barrel (I suspect a 16 will fit as well as the inserts are 8"each and they are double stacked)
So maybe not perfect for your situation but it's an option and if anyone else is looking for something similar, go talk to rainy
