    Rehoming a Paintball Gun Collection

I'm beginning to wonder about what will become of my paintball gun collection (located in Australia) when I'm too old to enjoy them. It's a few years off but I like to plan ahead. I did sound out a couple of our state museums but nothing came of it. And because they are considered firearms in Australia the chances of finding enough buyers locally is slim. I guess I could ship them overseas when the time comes but it would be a real hassle to do it piecemeal. I'd really need to find a buyer for the majority of the collection because of their firearm status (paperwork, permits etc.) and the shipping costs.

If anyone has any suggestions they would be most welcome.

This is a link to a listing of about two thirds of the collection in the Collectors Corner
    * Updated 2nd. Jan. 2022 PMI-III (circa 1992). The name means "Pursuit Marketing Inc., version 3". Before '92, all Sheridan products were distributed by PMI. For the most part, the PMI-III is identical to the later VM-68 except for some small differences. The PMI 3 was a very successful blow back hopper feed semi

Wow quite the collection! I certainly can't afford it, but I hope you find someone who could foot the bill. I know for sure that Hobbes would go to lengths to get his hands on that Hammer II.

That first gen borg is legitimately cool. Always wanted to own one. Hell of an awesome collection dude. As far as solutions go...I got none. I didn't know they were classified as firearms so that makes it a big issue, and with such a good collection of items it makes sense that you would want to have it go to a place that could catalog history. But Imma keep looking at it for sure, cool stuff! Maybe you could look into a musuem stateside or out of country that would be interested?
I could have sworn I had something important to put here...

Just a random thought... are there any schools that might want a collection like this? You might be surprised what kinds of collections are at universities here in the USA.

There's quite a few collectors state side that would eat up some of that collection.....me included.

I'm interested in one of the WGP prostock snipers if/when you get around to listing them.

The school idea sounds good. Perhaps a design/manufacturing school. Paintball guns (and firearms in general) are pretty good exercises in manufacturing and design.

Or maybe an Australian firearms organization? I know the NRA museum has some paintball stuff. They'd probably be especially interested in the Australian stuff.

Idk about that, because a school wouldn't be able to appreciate these. What I'm saying is in their eyes there would be no difference between these and your run of the mill spyders, tippmanns, VLs and 32 degrees blowbacks.

Doesn't bacci mountain also have a paintball museum? He might not be interested in everything like the spyders and tippmanns but stuff like those badgers would probably be a fantastic addition to it

I'd certainly be interested in the red Droid and possibly the GTI if you end up piece-meal'ing the collection. Please keep me in mind.

Absolute madness that Australia considers paintball guns to be "firearms"

To own this many paintball guns I need to hold a gun dealers license and have a monitored alarm system.

So you can see why there aren't many collectors out my way.
