    Is anyone satisfied?

Well is there anyone out there that has found "the one" or maybe just one of the ones in their collection? You know, that gun that fills it's niche for your exactly and leaves you not wanting for another of it's type?

If so, what gun and how long have you owned it?

My CCM'd pump Karni. Built it over a decade ago after my first Karni pump got stolen. It's my go-to marker since I built it, and my previous Karni was my go-to before it. Only thing I've changed on it since I built it was the on/off as the one I originally had would always get loose and wobble. And I just replaced the on/off this year.

My Planet Eclipse Banzai! splashed Angel LED is the jewel of my collection.

      Still to go,
A reverse cocker from Constant Action,
      An adrenalized Angel LED
No eyes Viking that doesn't cost me half my appendages

Those are about all the nostalgia gats I remember from my early days playing.

I have several keepers, generally they are the ones that just fit me well, or couldn't be replaced

Stock Class Phantom (so many personalizations, but at the base its a black SC Phantom) - Maybe eight years
VKC Duck - I don't know, since the release, Carter Woosh on it. Sevenish years maybe.
A couple of customized Series 5 autocockers - Just love these plain bodies, and they are built with my favorite parts and custom anodized.
Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

The VSC phantom is the occams razor of stock class guns. Really hard to beat a good old VSC in that niche.

I have been swapping through markers for decades now. I feel like I finally got a marker that it perfect for me. My Stock Class STP Sterling is near perfect for me. I am now contemplating selling my other pumps because I just don't think I want to play with them over the Sterling...

Kbg. At first I just liked it, even considered flipping it. But I mounted up a full stock on a whim one day and it’s been love ever since. Poor lever phantom is collecting dust because of that thing

I would love to answer yes, and suppose it is true for a very short amount of time. I tend to be very fickle where it comes to paintball markers. I have spent exorbitant amounts of money on projects to get a marker just the way I wanted and then a few months later....

I will say that as much as I have attempted to talk myself out of them over the years I keep returning to Automags and Autocockers. You simply cannot own one mag though. They are like rabbits. I started with one and the various parts changes and such always end up with more. I currently have three. I am trying my BEST not to buy another cocker. I am trying my best not to buy something that will shoot first strike.

            I have 2:
            • My 'Americocker" cocker pump. Built in 2017 from a 2k3 body kit I got from Blizzard. I love this gun. It shoots any paint great, it's comfortable in the hand and feels like an extension of me when I use it. It's simple enough to get the shooting feel of that I use it as my loaner pump all the time. I have a FF roller sear that I'd like to install at some point, but for all intents and purposes the gun is perfect as is.
            • The Super Stocker. I have owned 4 different Stockers and this one is perfect for me. .685 bore with deep wedgits that it holds any sized paint, but maintains some level of efficiency. The offset left Phantom-style feed on it is great for someone who sights over the barrel and is heavily right-handed and the K-frame feels great in the hand. This gun shoots great, but is heavy and janky and awkward to use if you aren't used to it, so I avoid loaning it out to pump newbies, but I shoot this gun so much that it's basically become my flagship marker.
My Phantom is a runner up. It's a similar situation to Hellion360 cause at its core it's just a basic VSC Phantom, but after years of switching configurations and tinkering I have found it to be my favorite and most reliable grab-n-go SC marker. It's not finished and doesn't really have overly rare parts, but it's the first (out of many) Phantoms that I actually enjoy shooting.

gabe For sure, I got one of the ex-rental emeks and I’ll be trying that out to see what all the fuss is about. It looks like the downside is that by the time you get a hair valve, adjustable trigger, and ASA it will cost as much as a CVO.

Yep and it'll still be made out of plastic. Not to sell the EMEK short but the CVO is a screaming deal in the mech game IMO. I do think the PE guns have it all over the CVO for long term reliability and quality but if you are able to maintain an Automag then the CVO is about the same level of reliability/maintenance.

The CVO trigger feels so good. I love the weirdness of the Gmek slide trigger, but if I were in the marker for a newer mech I would absolutely get a CVO.

Haha, is this in response to my post about never being satisfied?! So then my answer is NO. Kind of, just kidding. The M170R is really awesome (as you now know), and I was always super happy with the EMEK but the M170R just feels and shoots a lot better to me. That really checks all the boxes in a semi-auto shooter for me.

Then for pump, it's the sniper platform and this is where all my tinkering, building, re-selling, and repeat happens. I've built sweet set ups I liked but then parted out, started over. Maybe I will land somewhere I will stay. Sure I could dish out for a full CCM marker, but then I would only really be able to justify using that and only that. Who knows, that day could come but I am working on yet another super slick build.

My Emek for sure. I like swapping through electrics but the Emek is my rock solid choice. Even after playing with the others I always pull the Emek out to use it part of the day. It's just solid and works so nicely. That's why I eventually bought the FLE body for it. I know I will use the Emek for years to come and it makes it worth it to me. I (right now) plan on holding onto the G6R I have and the Insight but that could always change. But I really love my new G6R. The Insight works great too. It has a different feel than anything else I have ever used. It is a soft shot like the shocker but I think it looks nicer. If I anno it I will be holding onto that one for a while.

I'm now building a double trigger Emek to see how I like it. I really didn't like the Etha2 but I think an Emek with a double trigger and hair 45 might be better. If not I will sell it on too but I keep looking for that electro that I love as much as the Emek. There was something different feeling about the Etha2. I added the magnet mod to make the trigger snappier but it never felt the same as the Emek. Plus with the board and no screen it just seemed to be extra stuff I didn't need. Maybe a true mech version of it will be the difference maker.

                My forever guns:
Series 5 pump - owned since 2005 and covers all I'll ever want out of an open class pump
Phantom VSC - since 2006 and covers all stock class needs
Palmerized P68sc - covers brass needs. Not incredibly useful but I have to have at least one brass gun and this one anchors that slot

I'd like to say that I've settled on a mech or electro (I thought I had) but things keep changing. Hopefully my new to me M170r will be that gun that anchors the mech slot for me. I thought an LV1 would satisfy my need for one good electro but that's fixing to get changed up. Autocockers come and go it seems like. Like others who can't have just one of a type, that's me with autocockers. I think there are guns designed to be collected/modified/built/sold and 'mags and 'cockers are right in that niche.

I'd second my m170r. It doesn't wow me in any specific way, but it's been the only marker I've used literally every time out because it always just works well.

I'm really hoping I find that sort of "grab and go" thing with my M170r this year. Seems like the ultimate mech gun.

After having tried many markers over the years I've found my preferred semi is the GoG eNMEy. Light, fast and easy to maintain. As for pump markers I've found it's either A a sniper of some kind (my preferred one is my trilogy) or a brass gun that's been sent to palmers. I've tried other stuff and ultimately keep coming back to this setup.
