My biggest sales regret was, and forever will be my Gen2 Freestyle. Between that and my Trifade FEP Quest, I miss both of those markers the most. I wish I could afford another Freestyle, and I always wanted a Vampire FS8 despite not wanting to play speedball as much again.

I feel you. The first high end marker i ever bought brand new was an O5 Freestyle. That thing shot so smooth. The first time i ever played with it was at a night game. It had such a soft shot that at first i wasn’t sure it was actually firing. I owned a few after that, one of which was a Pro. Man that thing was beautiful. -
I was always in the camp of "ICD can't make a good marker" After friends with broken BKO', etc, etc. Then I bought the Freestyle, it was my first used higher end electro and I was...sold. It's the one sale I regret more than anything else. I sold all my gear after college and that was my greatest regret. I can't remember if I sold it due to the fact I had some legal issues at the time or I just thought I wasn't going to play again, and...yeah. 12/10. I know of an FS7, but it's currently buried in a camper somewhere up north of me with my buddies ex. It's also a blue to black fade.

I have a serious attachment to my Mini and Hurricane - the 'Cane is just a blast to use, and the Mini is the only thing I actually get eliminations with. If I want to save paint, I use my Mini.
Pretty much everything else in my collection is a keeper for various reasons that range from sentiment to a lack of market value. 😁Comment

I do have a "last gun" in the collection, where if i were forced to sell the whole shebang , it would be the last one to go......my '96 RF minicocker ! my 6.5 would be the closest: I can use it for stock class or open play. I wish another company would offer a pump comparable to a CCM.

Not a specific paintgun, but a model- the WGP Trilogy. I’ve had my current Trilogy for a couple years now, but I’ve owned multiple ones for a combined total of over 10 years. They are compatible with a ton of 2k+ parts, are easy to work on thanks to the integrated front end, and they just plain work. They’re not the best, but I always know I’m set if I’ve got a Trilogy around. The Tippmann of the autococker platform.Comment

For me it is my Pyre, it has been my go to marker for many years now (12-13 years). I have no complaints about it, it fits me well and provides a tool that I forget about when using it [good thing]. Its only limitation is while I prefer to play pump and limit my paint consumption it is not the correct tool for when I want to really throw paint around.
For the semi-automatic job I have not found a semi-automatic that fits me as well as the Pyre does for a pump. I love my 2K Blazer but I find I short stroke it often and I have not mastered tuning it. I play semi so infrequently that I most likely do not have the time behind the trigger to develop good habits or get a fine tune suited for my style. I have an AXE that works every time I pick it up and works well for me but I find it just does not have any "soul" to it. Nothing wrong with the Axe per se but just never feels a part of me. Hopefully when I get my pneu/pump/response triggered mag up and running it will fill the semi-automatic nitch for me so I can get back down to 2-3 markers. Maybe an Emek is in my future who knows. I am more of a function over form person but the marker really does need to have some aesthetic appeal to it (which the Axe does not have).
I do have a plethora of Phantoms in my collection and If I know it is a stock or modified stock day at the field I will most likely bring one of them. My Pyre does work for this purpose as well but the Stock feed I have for it currently is far from perfect so I prefer to use one of the Phantoms for stock play. I want to love my Duckslide but it is very particular about feeding paint in its original form. I plan on milling off the top of it so I can attach the stock feed to the Phantom main body like normal. This should take care of that issue. All of my other Phantoms are special use configurations with my favorite being an 20rd APOC springfed, Micro II CA stocked one that is definitely not stock or modified stock legit. This is why my collection is so big right now and this does not include my oldschool LAPCO collection that rarely gets played anymore.

Never thought I would be at a place where I have my perfect markers, but I actually do. My Shockers with both frames, my VSC Phantom, and most importantly, my CCM SS25. Just need to change the trigger on the CCM.

The more I actually play with a gun, the more I love it. 100% of the time.
You really gotta get field time with a gun that you want to love, otherwise it will just be a gun with a dollar value and once you've held it for an hour or two you can be done with it. Unless you take it to the field and start getting some solid eliminations and good memories with it, you won't be keeping it or if you do it will just be another dead wall hanger.Comment
