In my gearbag itself isn't much of anything I would consider interesting or clever. But in addition to the gear bag, I usually have a cardboard box from a case of paint that I set on the staging area table with the stuff that my friends and I use most frequently. This utility box carries cheap microfiber rags, one or two cotton terry or cellulose fiber rags (for when I need something truly absorbent), spray bottle with 50/50 alcohol/water mix, black athletic tape, electrical tape, bug spray, spare batteries, and most importantly, my folding battery powered fan. The fan isn't to keep me cool, though. I always bring at least two masks with me and alternate them between games. The one that I just took off gets set on top of the fan with it blowing on the foam to dry it out. Keeping the foam dry and never letting it get saturated with sweat is how I avoid fogging when it is 80 or 90+ degrees out and 100% humidity, which is like half the year here.

The only other slightly clever thing I take to the field is a cheap nylon bristled brush that I use to clean the treads of my boots. During the cooler months when I might just change shirts and wear my paintball pants and boots home, I'll brush the paint-caked dirt off my boots with it before getting in the car.
