Psycho91 I’ve never had an issue with them as mech semi markers. The original Cyclone (revision A, stamped on the bottom plate next to where the piston housing attaches) had hard plastic paddles that could definitely blend if the paint was brittle or oddly shaped. Revision A1 cyclones had softer paddles, improved gearing, and exhaust holes in the piston housing that resolved some of those issues.

I had the thought recently about building an a5, I hear some cyclones have a habit of breaking paint and just being a pain though

Yeah their podcast is great imho, perfect blend of serious paintball discussion and gear/nostalgia type topics.
I was completely surprised when I won the package, some cool pieces in it.

The Great Equalizer the cool thing is, it does help with velocity. It is shooting about 170 with a drilled out valve but otherwise stock, which is better that I have seen on other guns

Nice! Those guys play at my home field and are good guys. Glad you won it!

Won a package on instagram recently. If anyone is looking for a laid back paintball podcast check out “The Center 50”.
