My only successful somersault was while holding a Deuce. Nish had one that he let me borrow for one game. I tripped in front of him and managed to cradle it as I fell. At least that's how I remember it. He may remember me just smashing it into a rock.
Picked this up at World Cup, having a little piece of that is awesome. Put on Pachmayr charcoal wood grips, they look and feel great. This is the only M1V1 body that is completely milled away under the sight rail.
I really like the way Infamous brands their products, they deserve the hype. Some of the regs and bottles they release are pure art. Wish it was easier to buy from Canada, enjoy your mask.
Got my working MacDev GT2! Will be doing a full video and write-up for the review section, and that will include the whole story of why this is my second marker.
I really hope MacDev is around for decades to come, I felt cyborgs were quite unique at the time. I have never owned a MacDev marker but I have always seen them as a company that has a different approach, we need more of that.
You are going to love that hopper they are my favorite piece he makes. Plenty fast enough to use on even an emek. You’re going to like it on the phantom.
Might not be a "true" unicorn, but it's a unicorn for me. Picked up an X7 Phenom Minimalist for a pretty decent deal on the 'bay. Got the beaut today. You don't see them too often. Fires fine in semi. We'll see about electro eventually, but I plan on running this this mostly in mech semi anyway.
Gonna spruce it up with the Techt works. Hopefully I can figure out something to do about the ASA. It's a long duckbill style, and really puts my 68ci pretty far out. Maybe I can drill and mod a CP to work.
Anyone know of a rail system that'll work with this? A forward grip would be nice. I might be able to fab something up with real steel parts. We'll see.
In my free time at work, I've made an adapter block and situated a CP direct over it with an o-ring gasket, like they use in sleeper pneumags. I haven't tested it yet, but it sure looks good bolted up. I'll be posting in the Tippmann forum about it.
If it doesn't work, I'll be buying an MCS gas-thru back block and running a bottom line. Of course, I'll chop and paint it to look decent. That's my last ditch effort. Everything about this marker is AWESOME, except for the angle of the ASA. It just pushes my 68ci too far down and away to be comfortable. But man that trigger pull is SWEET. It's like a low-pressure Automag. I'm in love with it.
My Mozak Thin 45 Frame arrived and promptly was installed on the Mini Orracle. I'm very impressed with the overall fit and finish of this frame. It feels incredible with the Hogue wrap-around grips.

Reason: Grammar
Edit: added a second pic in case anyone wants a better look at these. The bottoms are socket-slotted for some reason, I assume for tightening on when you put your reg in?
Yup. Probably would’ve been good of me to have considered before purchasing haha. I am a little baffled by the lack of DOT cert, as they are still air tanks intended to be filled to 4500psi. I reached out to ans about it and according to them “a paintball store will know what they are and fill them,” but I have my doubts. Currently unsure of what to do with them. Which leads into:
@The Great Equalizer
That’s the thing. There isn’t a website apparently, I searched for one. ANS says they come from “Core Paintball,” but as far as I know that could be entirely made up.
So I’m torn as to what to do with these things. They appear rock solid, but I think I’m going to see if I can at least get them hydrotested before I try to fill them. I know that won’t grant DOT certification, but it will grant peace of mind.
Am I wrong in thinking that it’s weird that they are being sold without certification? The tank doesn’t care whether it’s being used in a game or for reg testing, the certification is just there to make sure it’s safe to fill. 4500psi is 4500psi. Seems like a pretty dangerous business model for old angsrgrrr.
Core is an ANS brand. If they aren't stamped DOT/TC, then they aren't DOT or TC certified. Plain as that.
That said, I'm in the minority that thinks the certification standards are a bit over the top. If you're just using them to tech equipment, I would be fine doing that, personality. But I would probably only fill them to 3k. If you want to use them in-game, your hydrotest idea ain't bad.
I say try to get them filled and go from there. It looks like thick machined steel, so I wouldn't worry about them. I once saw a commercial HPA fill tank fall out of a pickup and it was fine... It might be worth taking in to AirGas or a local welding/industrial gas shop with one of those and ask them what it is. I'm 100% sure ANuS Gear isn't having it made just for them, I'm sure its some standard industrial part that they're re-purposing.
The "@" process seems to work sporadically for me. The only thing I'm relatively sure of is, if it doesn't work, editing the post doesn't help, you have to delete the post and create a new post. I also thought multiple word names like mine would be harder to use, but they seem to work just as well as single word names.
