    Coupla newborn lil baby hpas, ain’t they cute?

    Edit: added a second pic in case anyone wants a better look at these. The bottoms are socket-slotted for some reason, I assume for tightening on when you put your reg in?

      @XEMON

      Yup. Probably would’ve been good of me to have considered before purchasing haha. I am a little baffled by the lack of DOT cert, as they are still air tanks intended to be filled to 4500psi. I reached out to ans about it and according to them “a paintball store will know what they are and fill them,” but I have my doubts. Currently unsure of what to do with them. Which leads into:

      @The Great Equalizer

      That’s the thing. There isn’t a website apparently, I searched for one. ANS says they come from “Core Paintball,” but as far as I know that could be entirely made up.

      So I’m torn as to what to do with these things. They appear rock solid, but I think I’m going to see if I can at least get them hydrotested before I try to fill them. I know that won’t grant DOT certification, but it will grant peace of mind.

      Am I wrong in thinking that it’s weird that they are being sold without certification? The tank doesn’t care whether it’s being used in a game or for reg testing, the certification is just there to make sure it’s safe to fill. 4500psi is 4500psi. Seems like a pretty dangerous business model for old angsrgrrr.

      EDIT: gotta learn how to do that @ thing haha

      Core is an ANS brand. If they aren't stamped DOT/TC, then they aren't DOT or TC certified. Plain as that.

      That said, I'm in the minority that thinks the certification standards are a bit over the top. If you're just using them to tech equipment, I would be fine doing that, personality. But I would probably only fill them to 3k. If you want to use them in-game, your hydrotest idea ain't bad.

      I say try to get them filled and go from there. It looks like thick machined steel, so I wouldn't worry about them. I once saw a commercial HPA fill tank fall out of a pickup and it was fine... It might be worth taking in to AirGas or a local welding/industrial gas shop with one of those and ask them what it is. I'm 100% sure ANuS Gear isn't having it made just for them, I'm sure its some standard industrial part that they're re-purposing.

      The "@" process seems to work sporadically for me. The only thing I'm relatively sure of is, if it doesn't work, editing the post doesn't help, you have to delete the post and create a new post. I also thought multiple word names like mine would be harder to use, but they seem to work just as well as single word names.

    Got a dust blue mini CP on/off, but it’s seems a bit darker than the rest of my PMR blue bits. Anyone have a lighter one on hand they’d like to trade? It’ll come with one plug - the macro fitting will stay w me. Used but the only signs of wear are on the rail section.

          A friend contacted me, and asked if I was still into paintball, and would I be interested in buying all of his gear. I told him I'd take it, not knowing what all he had. It turned out to be a good bit. He named his price, and it was at about the right level, considering everything has set for the last 10-years or so. Seals and batteries will need to be replaced, but It was stored well, and is not abused in any way.

          No worries home slice. I didn't mean to be a dick. I wear glasses, but fortunately, I'm VERY near-sighted. Thank the Lord I can read my phone and books without my glasses. Anything after about 8', it gets blurry.

        Blazer goods: rock valve body, spare rebuild kit, and single trigger 45 frame.

        Edit:
        Installed on Blazer. Not sure how I feel about the blue on nickel. Might grow on me.

          Man, it's been a long time since I've seen a complete Sandwidge. Am I seeing things, or did they misinstall the feed neck? It almost looks like it's been pinned or peened in place, so it seems like it might have been deliberate...

            Right! This F5 and a F5 Tiny Tornado on a beautiful Yin Yang Spanky fishbobe were both listed on Ebay in the same week. Someone was hiding all the unicorns! I'll have to take a closer look at the feedneck when some free time pops up.
