How do you store your guns

I'm intrigued... Do you have corresponding QR codes on each gun and a database/inventory system? (Or am I over engineering this?)

Over engineering it but I could go that far.

Basically my new shop had built in cubby shelves that fit totes well and instead of putting up peg board ice gone to tote storage.....

When is scan a QR it goes to an excel doc on my intranet. It reads "box 1 - contents" and a list of what is in there.

That's cool too! It's good knowing where stuff is. I'm getting to the point where I am forgetting how many guns I have or where they are at. Might take a cue from your method.

I currently own 5 guns, working on getting down to 1 or 2. The two keepers are in my gearbag, in their own cases. Two of the 3 project guns are in a JT gun bag, and the other is sitting on a shelf in my closet. I'll be selling 2 or 3 in the next few months. Got a wedding to fund.

I keep my guns stored in a variety of ways from pelican style cases, to normal soft gun cases, laptop sleeves, and gun sleeves. Almost all the hard cases are the knock off Harbor Freight ones that I got on sale or with coupons. Unless you are just super rough on them, they are just as good. The black bins have hoppers, pods, harnesses, etc. Silver case on the shelf has lots of smaller tanks, ones I use most of the time are up on top along with my masks. Pelican on the floor is full of most of my older pumps in gun sleeves. Beer and whiskey in the fridge.

I want to see how you store your guns. Wall mounted displays, shelves, pegboards, stacked away neatly in gearbags, or maybe just a random pile in the closet (you know who you are.) I've been using shelves but I am taking up more room than I need to, so I want to make some sort of rack

system for mine.

Really digging that tactical ion with the angel trigger frame. You can see my much epiphany with an LED single trigger frame that's pretty similar in this photo.

I have sorted cardboard boxes for the project markers and parts under all the desk as well, and at least two markers "out" getting some touch ups.

i built a rack to hold 10 - 20 at a time. Not much to look at but it works.

So this thread was a "Come to Velcor" moment for me.

I'm a grown ass man. I have tens of thousands of dollars worth of anodized aluminum. My "storage methods" were suitable for a sloppy middle school kid.

ANS has some value priced marker bags. I ordered 20.

Ordered up luggage tags for descriptions and serial numbers. Made a file for pics for insurance, just in case.

Will a full sized Autococker or something with a pump handle fit. If I can put my S6 and other pumps in these I'm going to order a bunch of them

I have around a dozen guns at the moment and I just toss 'em up on the pegboard in my garage/gym/cat house. They get dust and shit on them constantly so it's not the best option, but it encourages me to clean/rebuild often so I got that going for me. I'd like to eventually get a box storage setup with cut-outs and such, but apathy just mehhhhhhhhhhh

Ever since this thread I’ve been thinking of a better way to store my guns than throwing them in a pile on a shelf. Yes I really did do that.

Tonight I finally made this.





It is a Ridgid milk crate thingy that connects to their modular tool boxes. I used high density foam for the bottom, sides and dividers. It worked out that each section is 1 3/4” wide. They are 19” long and 8” tall. I only attached the dividers at the ends and for about 1/2” on each side on the bottom. I wanted them to be able to move a little instead of being fully attached. My thinking is that air fittings, feednecks and anything else that sticks out can push the divider over if needed.

I thought about putting pieces that bridge the dividers to hold certain markers but I opted to not do it. I wanted to have more versatility and not need to put markers in specific spots. As you see it above I have a PGP under the Palmer Lance.

The crates are made so that they can be stacked and locked together. So if more storage is needed in the future I can get a second crate and make another insert for it.

Mr. Hick it works out very well. I was surprised what it would fit. My Duckslide is about 18” long with the barrel and lever changer and it fits in there. Even tall guns like my S6 fit without sticking out of the top.

I've downgraded to a system of shelving, each tier with its own pile. Had to use the spare bedroom as a bedroom, go figure. I'm trying to make the pile smaller very soon

I had mine in gun bags stacked up, and I thought "I can free up so much room if I move to peg boards". Well I started with peg boards, which unfortunately unveiled my obsession which really upset the wife!!! Keep them hidden in the closet!!!!

This is only about a third of my markers....oof. The rest are in gun bags in my closets....

My CZR and Reflex rail are in a Nautilus bag. My wife and daughters guns are in an old Reds gun bag. Everything else is on peg board on my work desk.
