So we have the "what did you get in the mail" thread. Nothing about what you found in the old box of parts at your local store.

I scored big today (at least I think so). Got me a New Designz solenoid manifold, a pair of black detents, and a used Parker Solenoid with board for my Shocker SFT im working on.

Kinda sucks a little though, I just ordered a new set of detents from Nummech and they are on their way lol.

Yep... it was always fun to hit up Frontline or Badlands on a weekend and rummage through the 'clearance' parts. Now the shipping is often more expensive than the parts I want to order!

How I miss those discount bins! BuyPBL and MR/Paintballgear.ca too... Now my basement looks like one of those bins....

Grew up in Oregon and had access to a few paintball stores. I miss those days. There's literally one store where I am now, nearly an hour away.

Well, bummer. I was looking at the solenoid manifold just now, and see its engraved "NERVE". Slightly different than the SFT one it is packaged as, so it won't work. Damn.

I have 3 local stores

1 is dirty works, which is run by a guy who really doesn't care about the players, he just wants the money

The second is run by a family, pretty good people, the shop doesn't have the largest selection though. Mainly carries new player stuff

The third is run by a guy who would fit in around here. Really knows his old school stuff but has no idea what to do on newer stuff. I almost never get to go to his shop though because it's only open on bank hours m-f. He has a pretty small selection but is really fun to talk to

Years ago at a store that no longer exists I once got a PGP CO2 speed changer just because I knew what it was. Heavy sucker, made of blued steel. Apparently I was the first person to ever correctly identify the thing.
