This is an awesome resource, thank you for posting. Although many of the places in my area can't do paintball tanks. However there are more places in my area than I knew. I'll call around and see who can test my tanks!

It took me a while to find a place that charged a decent price. Found a welding supply shop that’ll remove the reg and test for $25/ea. Definitely jumping on that - other prices seem so darn inflated for a 5 min test. Of course there are fire departments all over my area that do testing, but by law or policy they can only do it in-house.

Wow, $25 with reg removal is awesome. The only place a friend and I have found is an hour an a half drive away and they wanted $65 for the test and I had to remove the regs. For that kind of money I'd send them into ninja. However this site has a ton of places I didn't check. So let's hope I get lucky.

I called places that aren’t on the list - scuba, fire safety equipment services, and welding supply. Took a while but I think it was worth it. Yeah, $65 each is nuts. For the aluminum tanks I’m getting tested I could buy a brand new tank & reg for that cost.

It's always good to call ahead. I have also experienced the disappointment of "we don't test paintball tanks"

Sadly my $25 find was a dead end. They thought I was talking about scuba-size tanks even though I clearly told them they were 48ci. Oh well, the hunt continues!

This, just because they have A hydrostatic cert, doesn't mean they have the correct one for paintball tanks

Also, there's an app called RIN locator that does the same thing

Yep, the site above is the same information in a web portal and mentions the app. Good call!

Ninja isn't taking testing orders at the moment. I'm in Virginia and trying to find someone. The closest one I'm trying to get in touch with, but anyone know anyone that will take shipped requests?

Used to have Western Sales in Deer Park, TX just outside of Houston but the owner retired and closed up shop a few months back.

lhamilton1807 for some reason that link is not working anymore when i try to go to it i get an error and if i remove /rinlocator it takes me to the phmsa site and i need to login. In order to do that i think i need a company that is already associated with them. In your searches previously was there another site that did something similar? If not do not worry about it, I have gotten all my tanks taken care of for the time being but in case someone here needs it.

The link is returning a 404error, which is “Page Not Found.” I found this page that still links to it, so my guess is that they’re having issues right now.
Another option would be to get the mobile app and see if the backend services are still running. It works well on my iPad.

There's a scuba shop up by me that will send them off. Not the cheapest though. Unfortunately our options are fairly limited. There was a great place in Vancouver, that got bought out by oxarc then oxarc stopped testing tanks.

If you find a good one in the area I'd love to know

The best price I found locally is United Fire in downtown Portland. It’s $38/tank (or was, before the war in Ukraine sent prices of everything skyward), and you have to remove the regulator yourself.

They're just up the street from Central Welding Supply, who, in the face of the aforementioned inflation, have kept their 20lb CO2 tank swaps at $25, less than half of what Praxair and Airgas will charge. This was where my mythical $25 hydro was. They told me they can’t test paintball tanks, but they’d do scuba tanks for $25. That was also wrong - it was $60 for my 80/3k scuba.
