it's further evidence that GI/Kore just wants to use them as throw-away guns. The new Brass Eagle.
    This is it.

The market is totally different than it was fifteen years ago. Now, they’re just trying to make a quick ‘entry level’ buck off the new player on Amazon before that person gets on social media an is told to buy an Emek or Axe 2.0. Except for the very niche vintage or boutique market, which we’re obviously a part of, the age of tinkering and aftermarket accessorizing is basically done. Of course, most people who buy markers like the Cronus will play a couple times, lose interest in the hobby and quit. Those that don’t will just upgrade to a better marker. No need to tool up production of a bunch of nick-nacks nobody will buy anymore.

Exactly. Use/abuse that brand recognition as much as you can & crank out/sell as much as you can for as cheap as you can. I realize that's how business is done in the mass market, but it's borderline abusive and a huge disservice to paintball history & those who care about our sport.

Not that the average player really cares though... We see it in the video game industry with loot boxes, incomplete releases & other abusive practices. The uneducated/uncaring masses just continue to lap it up.

I think a lot of it is just the realization that people who do want to customize a Stormer or TMC can do so with picatinny-compatible airsoft or real steel accessories.

I sort of agree with OP. Magfed people are crazy about accessories. Do you know how many people have taken $60 used 98s and turned them into $400 Tacamo Bolts? And how many $500 T15s are now $1,000 markers?

Tippmann could definitely make money with gas-through systems for the Stormer, First Strike "upgrade" compatibility kits, drop stocks, lock-bolts, different shrouds, and cheap copies of real steel grips and sights, etc.

Hell, do you even realize how sweet an e-trigger kit in a TMC would be? 3 shot burst magfed would be awesome.

Sure, things like the cyclone might be out of style. And the Flatline. But Tippmann could rifle their own FSR barrels, and probably undercut the rifled barrel market substantially.

TMCs are very common, and MCS and 3D print shops are filling the accessory void (and very well, I should say). There's still money to be made in accessories, if they wanted it.

Brokeass_baller , you are thinking clearly! Let's pool our money, buy the Tippmann Division from Kore, and restore Tippmann to their former glory!

1st product, a electro sear tripper kit for the TMC

2nd product, a propane tank powered semi auto paintball marker called the C4

Haha. A semiautomatic C4 would be badass. Just add the equivalent to Autococker pneus to the front, but make them combust too, for the fun of it.
    Working...
