Does anyone have a spyder pilot with eye and a vs1?

Trying to see if the pilot eye covers will work on the vs1. Or really if any other eye covers will work on the vs1

The accent kits were built around the vs2 and 3. The bodies have a different shape and the original eye covers for the 2 and 3 are slightly countersunk into the body.

It's not like I've tried this but that was also my first instinct when I realized that vs1 eye covers can't be had any longer.

I thought the same too but then this description made me think otherwise:

I THINK I’ve still got a red VS2-3 accent kit somewhere. If you discover that it’ll work just pm me & I’ll look for it.

I can tell you that the eye covers from the VS2/VS3/RS/RSX will not work on a VS1. Not sure about the newer Pilot eye covers. I've got a VS1 and Pilot around here somewhere. If I can remember where they're at, I'll let you know.

That would be awesome, the bodies look super similar and the part numbers are only 1 digit off so I'm hopeful

So no luck on finding a newer Pilot or the VS1 (I just recently got it too...), but I did find a newer Electra which uses the same eye cover as the newer Pilot. Looking at it, and from I remember from the VS1 and pictures, I'm pretty sure it won't work. Seems like the eye covers on the VS1 run at a much steeper angle, whereas the newer Pilot/Electra run at a shallower angle.
