What do wear into battle? After tons of trial and error this is where I have landed...

Goggles: All original black JT Spectras from 2000 with modern smoke lens

Headwear: DerDer Realtree camo headband, black beanie

Upper body: Sleeveless moisture wicking shirt and a black XL T-shirt are always worn, then either a black hoodie OR one of my Trash Pandas team jerseys.

Arm pads: Exalt Freeflex (black version, pads on hands removed)

Gloves: Black Valken Kilo

Pod pack: Valken Agility

Pants: Kinetic KP-S. (Best paintball pants ever)

Knee pads: Hydra Black

Slider shorts: Old JT's I've had for ever and still holding up amazingly well. Has a great cup pocket which I use with a Bike brand "soft" cup (rubbery on the sides)

Socks: Yes I use specific socks for paintball. Injinji "original weight" socks, which are toe socks and mighty comfortable. Especially with the shoes I wear

Shoes: Vivobarefoot Primus Trail II SG, "botanical green"

Best is a bit hard to say as the my jersey varies a bit due to weather but I will go with the traditional it is 40-50 degrees overcast and maybe a bit drizzly out as that is about the most common conditions in the Pacific Northwest

Goggles: Virtue VIO Contour II

Head: Renegade greenleaf headband

Upper Body first layer: Some cheap padded Sports bra from Walmart

Upper Body second later: A moisture wicking athletic tank top, I have them from a few brands

Upper Body outer later: Evil Gerbil jersey in Renegade Greenleaf fabric (it is like denim almost)

Arm padding: McDavid HEX shooter arm sleeves

Lower Body first layer: Some cotton underwear (synthetic fabrics don’t breathe well) with maidenform elastic shorts on over them to ensure that even if my pants are loose my legs don’t rub together.

Lower Body outer layer: Rothco BDU pants

Knee Pads: McDavid 410 underneath the pants, if you wear them outside the pants the fabric will bunch up behind your knees

Gloves: Mechanix, Valken or motocross gloves depending on which gun I am using, some I need fingerless others I will do full finger

Socks: ACTINPUT compression socks, I can’t recommend these enough for all day comfort and also for ensuring circulation when your stuck kneeling in weird positions for long periods of time

Shoes: Dr. Marten’s 1919 which are the slightly taller docs but they are very good for ankle support, I have some new balance cleats but, I usually use these due to the angle support and warmth as it is usually wet and cold around here

Pod packs vary based on guns: If remote I will use a Ronin Gear max pac 6+8 with an Alice harness attached, if pump I will use an Alice load bearing belt with two small packs on it holding 4x 30 round pods, if tank on gun I will use an Alice load bearing belt, Alice suspenders and an Indian Springs 3 pod pack on that belt. So I can carry 120 rounds, 300 rounds or 1400 rounds as I use 30 or 100 round pods

Lower - Nike full leg compression football pants... More for bugs and chub rub, undr team pants, smokin paintball belt, occasionally depending on play empire knee pads or renegade knee/shin pads. Nike high top water proof hikers, Bombas snowboarding cushioned socks.

Pod pack: Don’t usually wear one. Vest holds 50rounds in front pockets. Have an old empire harness in I need it.

Pants: BT pants…. A little too small in the circumference at the moment… looking up upgrade.

Knee pads: Full leg light mountain bike pads. My shins bleed easy.

Slider shorts: nope.

Shoes: very old JT high tops that need new laces and insoles… or to be replaced.
