We can rebuild him. We have the technology

Of all the wonderful informational threads that we lost, where should we concentrate our energy putting them back together? I'm thinking how-tos, technical information, and historical threads. The Wayback Machine has some bits that can be gleaned, but it isn't comprehensive and I think we ought to build a few from stratch anyway.

What did you find most useful?

For myself, the Sheridan valve diagram and teardown instruction was what really got me started in brass

Old magazine and catalog scans, only because it trips my nostalgia trigger. Old sales threads, just for the reminder of what used to be...

Tech stuff was/is always helpful. It's amazing how many topics, related to "older" paintball stuff, when googled, just lead back to here.

The armory threads would be a great start. Plenty of tech links. Good useful information. Diagrams, parts lists, screw specs, maintenance tips, etc. And how about the B/S/T?! No wallet left behind!

I'm glad to see you back, however briefly. Don't stay gone too long

Do we even know how much is gone for good? I haven't seen any statements from the powers that be to really clear this up. Are we truly starting from scratch?

Feedback. Literal centuries worth of accumulated trust recorded there. AND useful for tracking down markers. I really hope we can recover that.

Definitely how-tos. Get some good tech threads to help us keep our guns working. Full breakdowns and rebuilds would be great as well.

As Dio says, Feedback is a tough one to lose. Hopefully people can salvage some. I only just started selling on here, but feel for those with years worth of feedback. Maybe have it so people can at least say they’ve had good dealings with people to try and get feedback back up and running?

How to's, feedback, tech tips, and the massive barrel ID thread...

It was also nice to see how long ago people joined the forum. Seeing a member that had been around over a decade definitely earned some street cred.

a bank of CADs would also be useful. and dimensional data for machining, such as threads, etc

I could go off on regulating 12 grams...got into that years before going back to school for engineering, so it would be approached with a little more understanding of thermodynamics this time around, haha.

Dukie's forum will need big, big help. We need tuning and assembly tips, and if anyone has drawings of the latest gen DRV valve, please post up!

I'm pretty good with CCM, CCI, Cockers, and older Planet eclipse markers.

I would also like a revival of the sweater puppies thread.
