    angel style mechanica spyder trigger

who wants to help me get a 90 or 86 degree aluminum mechanical spyder trigger manufactured?

'm presuming a commisioned run of 10 will be required to get this project going, also ive heard of people shaving their safety somewhat and leaving on "safe" mode to limit travel of mechanical trigger as well, if anyone has any input, ideas, or shared inspiration to get this project off the ground. currently just an idea, havent found a machinist as of yet.

    Oof.....

The cost of the raw material right now alone..... That works out to be $70 a plate to do frame sized things. Including machine time, programming and tooling.......and only wanting 10?

Your going to likely be pushing into the $300 a frame range.

Your cheapest option is to locate older m16 Spyder frames and bolt on something commercial from an AR company. Strike industries makes 90° grips

I concur with ecap. That or the full 90° frames.

          Not realistic in today's market.

There were factory 90° frames but they were cast metal.

Aren't there some existing stock Kingman frames that already have the kinds of angles you're interested in?

the only time ive seen a grip frame break was when the hardware was over-tightened...

        al-eww-mini-um would be dope though.

i actually like the red one. it has like 3 or 4 o-rings in its entirety. talk about reliable back up. it has nothing that needs to be adjusted, no batteries to go bad, no reg sweet-spotting, its light, has a quick release delrin bolt for easy cleaning, and quick release take down pins. Now that im looking at it again, i think im going to take mine, slap an on/off asa on it with a clamping feedneck and have a pretty fun marker. i should have kept my TL from that era. it had a metal grip frame.

I have one of those red ones... I didn't like the 90 degree frame so I sold it. It's getting a single trigger 45. I also dropped in a VS balance valve and internals with a CP reg..... lol, not so simple anymore hehe.
      Working...
