Not just paintball sales, I’m afraid. Buckle up. I’m convinced we’re looking at something worse than ‘08 -
With the worst inflation ever and costs of everything higher than ever... makes senseComment

I’m curious as to where the market is flooded with used high-ends. Maybe it’s because I only buy autocockers but I feel like I’m seeing the standard number of nice autocockers go up for sale on here and Pbnation. Is it Facebook where this flood of cheap markers is occurring? It sounds like I might need to create an accountComment

Inflation that is heading toward a recession (most likely) many people are dumping frivolous expenditures and things. My electric bill this month was 3 times what it should have been, every time I fill my tanks right now it cost me $115-$130....etc. I too will be dumping some excess gear to help finance a new build so I can leave the cash I set aside for the build alone as some emergency money. I've lived through many recessions none have been fun but if you keep in mind the truly important things you'll be fine.

I would say in the last 6 months yes significantly have they slowed down. My shapewave store used to be quite a decent payout every month but for the last 2 months we made about $90.
And in general sales have been absolutely dismal for other things so I've been sitting on a lot of my friends gear that I've been trying to help him sell off.Comment

field attendances seem down from last year too. gas prices are killing things right now. took the trip to MSG this weekend and gas was by far the worst expense, about 150-160ish round trip. having to run the AC during a hot humid drive down cost some serious $$$, trip back it was cool with no traffic and tons cheaper. RWD 4cyl tacoma econo-truck.
had a whole row of campsites to myself once i got down there too, i was the only one on that side of the access road. i asked on the way out if there were sites available that night in case i got too tired to drive home, there were several available.
some of the strangest economic times I've seen in my life. i remember the 70's gas shortages, packing a lunch an sitting in a car with mom to wait in line for a few gallons. we have plenty of fuel now, but now we have grocery shortages. weird only coming home with half the items on your list. or you have to drive around to 3-4 places to find what you need.

On a positive note, was able to play last night and it was very busy the entire time.Comment

I think consumer confidence is way down right now, so naturally people are going to avoid spending on non essentials, For me work is as busy as it has ever been but, even I am spending less on paintball and more money paying down my debts, not that I have much but with interest rates rising the era of cheap money is gone so there is no longer a good reason for me to carry a balance
I will be out there next week though even if I have to use one of my pumpsComment

Costs have risen fast enough on life in general, I feel bad even trying to play paintball right now. Add $30 to even get to the "local" field, and it's $100 for an afternoon.Feedback

High end Electros always get dumped mid season. Before the newest gear gets dropped. Classic markers are at an all time high and will stay that way. You want the goods your paying for it.
Actual cost is way up because the dollar is weak. You will see a drop as people start to cut back on luxury expenses like paintball hobbies. But the high end collectables aren't dropping.Comment

I’ve been watching my local market dry up once the last of the paintball stores left. It’s been a slow downward spiral. There’s the odd vintage treasure that pops up, but few and far between. A lot of stuff is just overprice things that never sell and sit on Craigslist forever.Comment
