    Paint Size

It's been a couple years since I've played, but in the northeast now and pumped to get back to it. What's about the average paint diameter these days for .68, still running on the smaller side? Asking in another way, what are the best 3 or so freak insert sizes to have in the bag for pump? Used to always run .675, .677 and .679.

With a cocker I have used 682 through 675 in the last year. .680 or .679 is the most common for me.

Can't speak for the north east, but in Utah I've had paint size range all over place. Below 680, above 685. I have ordered Defy and found it to be more consistent, which is around 681-684. Are you using a marker that can experience rollouts? If you have detents, safest bet is to use a larger bore like 689 and not think twice about it.

Run larger bore sizes, as of late everything is basically oval square bumpy or straight up flat

I don't get a wide variety of paints up here, but the last several times I played, I used a .679" Eigen and was still getting roll-outs.

Usually play with a phantom, but have yet to get the detent mod on either of mine. Sounds like it may be time.

I usually have the same eigen barrel on my cocker pump, but am about to finally get a freak barrel for it.

              Thanks all!
