New LTL shipping policies include banning of "airguns" and "imitation firearms"

So shipping companies are starting to refuse firearm shipments. In the language of the company policies, this shipment ban includes airguns and imitation firearms, as well as accessories, which could VERY easily include paintball (especially magfed and the scenario guys) and airsoft. This could be bad, guys. I don't like where this is going.

Odd, I only ship "machine parts" or "model kits".

They would do the same. Or the market adjusts. Or we manufacture our own. Can’t stop won’t stop.

USPS… if it fits, it ships.

heck half the time when our amazon orders get handled by fedex or ups, they end up getting handed off to USPS anyway. So my opinions of other shipping companies are pretty low.

But if they are “private” (non-government) I guess they have the right to refuse to handle anything they want. I don’t have any facts on this. Its actually more of a thought that I hope someone else has input on.

I typically only use Fedex or UPS if I have some sort of really specific requirement. USPS seems to do a better job, usually faster (unless you are paying a ton), and is more reliable. I have had more stuff get lost or misdelivered with Fedex or UPS in the past year than I ever have with USPS.

Interestingly enough, I sold a huge EMF100 package a while ago, and needed a big box. I went to our UPS store to get one, and figured I would just ask them to ship it. They asked me what was in it - "sporting goods equipment, Paintball marker". I got told they were not allowed to ship anything with a trigger. UPS could still ship it, but not through retail. I had to drop it off at the local hub/commercial center. This was like a year ago, too.
