    Looking for love

Do unused guns feel unloved? Is laying in the darkness of a gear bag or hung on a wall what causes them to fail? Is it a cry for attention and time shared in the woods?

    Just a random thought.

i don't know about gun emotions, but I do know that I have a few guns that get pissy at me if I don't use them for X amount of time.

some do, im sure. buy others are happy simply to exist.

my angel A1 probably wont work tonight if i try and run paint through it but, my grey body spyder would probably work fine... the A1 is entitled and would most likely be "pissy" after neglect but the spyder would be has as a pig in sht just to see paint.

at some point, the marker (wall hanger) becomes art. and as Clarkson says, it can have no other purpose other than itself. and indeed a wall hanger fulfils this obligation.

moving into art, the final state of the art is, in itself, completed. just existing is arts purpose. once the art is completed, (wall hanger is hung), its serving its purpose.

i guess the short answer is:
a marker thats been turned into a wall hanger and kept, is serving its purpose and will be happy.
a marker thats meant to be used and expected to be used by both the player and the marker and that is not used, is ultimately not serving its purpose and is not happy.

Some do, sure. That's why I don't like many high-ends, especially older spoolers. I also don't like wall hangers. My stuff needs to be ready to go or just need a little tune-up. I don't always like tearing into stuff anymore.
